Wtf was this keeper doing. , I honestly didn’t expect the second one after having a free pass after the first one

I've either played or coached since the late 60's and I've seen a lot of tackles that were intended to hurt someone ... but, these two tackles were the most blatant I've seen in an organized match. The player should be banned from all public leagues for life along with a long suspension for the ref. Disgusting!!

The goalkeeper went into that game with a mission, that mission was to break someones legs

If this was a Mexican Sunday league, the goalie would of been rushed with beer bottles for tackling like that

Should be banned for minimum of 6 months, he didn't even attempt to go for the ball on either occasion.

Classic example of what happens when a ref doesn't send someone off when they should - either the keeper was going to do it again, or an player was going to do it to the keeper. Either way, the ref needs to go back to ref school and learn from this mistake.

#1 role of a referee is to ensure player safety. I consider the first attempt violent conduct even though he missed as there was zero attempt to play the ball in fact he ran past the ball to attempt the tackle. Even if the first attempt didn't happen, not only is the 2nd attempt a straight red because it was also excessive force, but it would also be a Red under Denying an Obvious Goal Scoring Attempt.

Bad on the referee, should of sent off during first offense for serious foul play. Luckily the attacker didn’t get injured on the first play. If the ref sent him off, the 2nd play wouldn’t of happened.

I'd love to hear the referee's rationale for letting the first one go. I think I understand it ... it was SO ridiculously clumsy and obvious that he likely dismissed it as just that - something SO ridiculously unathletic and clueless that he thought, with a word of admonishment, the dolt would never do again. He thought it so obviously a play by a clueless dolt (vs. a clueless thug) that he could best deal with it by giving the keeper a stern talking to/coaching session. This video shows exactly why you should treat the obvious stuff in the obvious way. I'm sure that as he's setting up the restart after the second incident, the referee is exceptionally thankful that his brain fart didn't result in a broken leg for the attacker - and will never make such a mistake again. I suspect the league may have gotten involved with him as well (both the referee and the keeper).

Even with no contact that first one is still an obvious red card. Blatantly endangered the safety of the opponent. But how did he miss the ball? I’m a ref myself, and tackles like this piss me off. One thing to remember is that refs don’t get replays (except for var at the highest levels), so we don’t see everything from the best angle. However, one look at the foul tells you all you need to know. I have no idea how this guy managed not to give a red here. To my knowledge, and from personal experience, players aren’t really taught how to slide tackle, which leads to the many dangerous studs-up scissor challenges like this one. So incredibly dangerous, always a red.

Is the ref related to the goalkeeper? That is an instant red card and I have been a ref for many years. Firstly, what was the intent of the goalkeepers actions? Did he play the ball? He should be banned from refereeing permanently.

Ref is the judge out in the pitch for 90 min. +. He is our mother, our father, our boss. He’s also an asshole, but the best way to deal with him is by being silent. If you get knocked down, get up fast and keep playing hard. If you score a goal and ends up being offside, don’t complain, there will be other opportunities to score. Just play the beautiful game, enjoy every second of it.

Obviously it's a red. At the bare minimum at least give a yellow. But to not give any card or call a foul is ridiculous

Wow!! I play keeper and train keepers.. This was incredible to watch and for the ref to have him left on the field.. Luckily the player from the red team was not seriously injured after both attempts, if so, they should send the medical bill to the ref!! His reffing licence should be revoked immidiately, theres soo much video angles to do just that!!

Wow i've seen crazy things on the field but this is stupid. First of all that guy wanted to hurt the player and get him injured. 2. I was on the end of a very bad tackle years ago, which knackered my right knee and caused damage in the left.. I had to give up football, and now I have severe osteoarthritis in both knees, am registered disabled and can't walk more than 20 yards.

In American football when I played in HS in the 1980's, That dude would've gotten pile driven to the turf and got an ass beating. My coach didn't give 2 shits about a 15 yard penalty or ejection in that case. You try to injure one of our players intentionally twice, we were gonna take out your RB or QB, Helmet or shoulder to your knee helmet to the groin, pile drive you face first into the turf. You were leaving on a stretcher for doing that shit! That went for any team that played dirty in my era. Everyone knew you tried to hurt someone on purpose your ass was grass. People respected each other and there were few dirty hits, because EVERYONE back then knew the consequences.

Just the intend of the goalkeeper on the 1st try valid a red card and a year suspension for trying to inflict a major and career ending injury. That referee should have his license pulled to be honest, for not giving penalizing the first attempt. The scandalous attempts from the goalkeeper have nothing to do with the 'contact' aspect of the sport anymore, he should be charged with deliberate assault.

The second one was one of the worst 3 on the keeper breakaways I've also ever witnessed, he deserved to get crunched on that one... but still a red.

In both cases the keeper should have been sent off. He showed malicious intent, no aim for the ball, both legs straight to the opponent's feet. If the referee punished the keeper since the first time, he then would have omitted the second incident.

Did the ref explain why he didn't eject him for the first one? It's arguably worse because the ball isn't even nearby when he does it. I also can't understand the goalkeeper's mindset. He's trying to break legs.

Referees have rules to follow.When an opponent commited a high boot,whether or not it hit the player or not,it is still considered a foul.The two footed tackle,whether or not it hit the player,should still be considered a foul. So overall,I disagree with the referee's decision,strongly!!!😡

IDK who's more reckless- that Goalkeeper or the Ref. That GK should have been red carded and criminal charges after that first attempt at breaking the players legs let alone the second attempt. And because the ref didn't send him off, the second guy could have easily had his leg broken because of it.

First tackle was fucking horrendous and vicious, in pro level you get banned 10 games for something like that. THEN I was shocked to see him do it AGAIN in the same game.. this time even fucking worse than the first one! The player was lucky he didn't get seriously injured there. He should be banned for life.
