I did it for RU-vid and it was much easier than using a flow for Node Red in Home Assistant. For some reason it did not work and your solution worked like a charm just like that.

Yes, that correct. This is server, so it only works when it’s running.

Server on the computer. So it will be offline when the computer turned off. Should I use the server to a Raspberry to make the clock 7/24 available?

Thank you. This was much easier and manageable than the HomeAssistant version. My only question... my device continues to show the time, temperature, humidity, and battery power. Any knowledge as to how to cease some or all of these from the rotation? Edit: Nevermind... hold down the middle button and then switch to "APPS" and you can make your choices.

Ok, Manage to get this to work, you get my thumbs up for this. I have few questions if you can answer them, it will be great ! How can I force the app to be there everytime I swithc on my clock ? (it disappear and I need to execute the workflow in n8n for it tobe back again) ? Do I need to launch the command npx n8n everyday if I switch off my computer ?

n8n is a server, which means it needs to be running to get live data. If you close it, the clock will not update.

I just followed my steps, and besides not getting that screen, it worked fine. Obviously Twitch changed something in their process, but my Clock reported my Twitch followers...

Wrong or delayed? Instagram have a strict policy on how often you can ping their server. This means that it will only update a few times a day.

Weather is handled by the clock, so you’d need to use the web admin or download the AWTRIX app.

I purchased your Ulanzi desktop clock TC001 and was able to set it up successfully.I have the youtube fans enabled with my UID and API key setup. I have 1888 subscribers now but the youtube fans is displaying 1880. Any update why its not updating?

Yeah, this is a limitation if the RU-vid API. It only displays subscribers by 10…

I have only one question. After I will disconnect the n8n and close the command line Ulanzi will pick up number of subscribers every hour through WI-Fi using RU-vid ID channel ID and API key?

No, the n8n is the server, so you will need to leave it running. I’m sure you could also have some raspberry pi running it 24/7, but haven’t gone that route. I have my Mac that never shuts down…

@@LovelySimRacing I see. Then will have to install nodejs and n8n on the machine with Home Assistant and keep it running in the background. Or eventually run this on on of my Raspberry Pi. I will try to find out is it possible to run n8n as a Kubernetes pod, because I have k3s cluster running on Raspberries.

@@LovelySimRacing That's a pity. I'd like to use it with Loxone, but I don't have any MQTT server. LaMetric allows to receive HTTP requests which can be sent directly from Loxone Miniserver which is super easy.

watched the entire video 3 times and repeated the steps. while testing the workflow it shows succeeded, but it doesnt show instagram followers. only logo. do i need to enable instagram api?? or maybe something changed since then?

No, it’s just a bit “iffy” sometimes. Do not request it very often, my script does it every 4 hours.

Yes, that is of course possible. The Ulanzi already has a few apps installed, but they are very basic - and not all of them work globally (eg. Weather)

Weather already exists, as far as I know. As for Facebook, it would require some work similar to Instagram, as they are both using FB’s API. I can’t promise a FB workflow, but if I get a chance I will look into it.

Nope, it works fine for me. Make sure you're not requesting the number often... there's a limit on how many requests you make, and if exceeded you may get a temp lock.

If your device does not connect to WiFi, it will most likely go into AP MODE. You will need to follow the same process as you did initially. Connect to your Ulanzi’s wifi and follow the instructions…
