I’ve enjoyed your channel & the relationship you have with your Dad. The internet will continue to reflect our insecurities. For me the outdoors is my sanctuary & I personally don’t feel the need to change that. It’s part of my humanity - not necessarily a promotional or work related gig.

Interesting podcast guys. I struggle with putting videos out on RU-vid, especially elk hunting videos. Out west elk hunting has gotten very popular, especially the hunting that my family has done for generations, the backcountry style of hunting and it has had an impact on it. There is a lot of people in remote locations now days. Part of me wants to keep it secret and part of me enjoys the process of making those videos and sharing them.

Thanks Nicholas! To be honest, I think there is a silent majority out there (that's like all of us). I just couldn't sit in my bubble anymore (as much as I wanted or want to 😂) and watch the world upended. We want to contribute to some sort of balance, even if it's a small contribution. Believe me, RU-vid isn't me...I love making videos and documenting events but tend to want to keep to myself. However, one's purpose (or at least part of one's purpose) is to serve others...so here I find myself on RU-vid 😁. We spend a great deal of time in the North Maine Woods, I'm sure we will cross paths. Spider is a wonderful place! Thanks for the support👍

I live in West Virginia but travel to Maine on vacation every couple years, its the same down here, buy your license online ,no more check stations where we'd hang out on opening day, its all gone and we can't figure out why the kids aren't interested, and good lord can w please get rid of LEE.and Tiffany hunting shows , people start believing these monster deer exist everywhere 😂😂 instead of the pay to kill ranches they hunt

Another great podcast, no social media for this old man, like Mark only RU-vid. I do use LinkedIn once in a while a habit from when I still worked, but only to follow former work colleagues of mine. I rarely post anything, other than a happy birthday or anniversary congratulations. Keep up your good work, I look forward to your new posts

Social media has definitely ruined hunting for those who believe everything they see. Those of us who are minimalists still go and do it for the love of it… I film to capture the memories, win or lose! Great episode! Keep making “real” videos…👍🏻

I’ve never had the money to go up to the big north woods but have always enjoyed watching all the northern hunters hunt there big bucks ,the thing I wonder the most is if the guys up north would even enjoy the deer hunting down here in NC ,,it is so very different from your normal that it makes me wonder,,would they enjoy it at all

It's how a lot of us in the north east were brought up hunting, so there is a familiarity and fondness towards it. I think most people that try this type of hunting either love it or hate it. For me, it's the only place I need to hunt to be satisfied, but it doesn't hurt to try new things😁. Thanks for watching!

Good video guys, there’s good to social media but not enough good for me to join and put my life story on it. RU-vid as far as being able to find specific information and videos on what you want is huge. I’ve noticed by not having social media where anything I do is posted, it hypes my friends up more when they hear about a video event hunt or adventure more because I think they want to know more. Where the Facebook posts people scroll and forget after 3 minutes later. Paul the ww2 interest is awesome, I myself have always been deep into both the great wars and history. Especially the mindset those guys had to survive such a crazy time.

I understand that 100%, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with it...plus my life isn't that interesting that I need to share my everyday events 😂. I do agree, RU-vid has some very valuable content. One of my favorite RU-vid historians is Mark Felton...which I'm sure you've come across. Yeah, World War II fascinates me. In part, my grandfather fought in Italy at only 18 yrs of age ( I actually believe he lied about his age in order to go, so he may have only been 17😳). The resolve those young men had was astounding. I can't imagine...but am forever thankful. Thanks for watching!
