I wanna be a social media marketer and use marketing with my own content creation, going to school for a degree in marketing, but the courses aren’t teaching me anything to do with social media GRR. This video was exactly what I needed, thank you!
I'm starting a job next week and one of my tasks is social media management. I've never done it but I'm going to use your channel to crash course because you've got great tips.
I work as a social media manager as a student job! It's a great opportunity for me to grow and really learn what I like to do when I graduate. I really enjoy your video's, they helped me so much already in the last week. I even doubled my engagement this week! Let's hopefully keep that up. Thank you! :)
This is literally the best free college class I’ve ever taken in my class. Love that I have RU-vid plus and can slow down the play and absorb everything you have to say. Hand is cramped from notes. Thank you thank you thank youuuu
You really broke it down for us (even spoke slowly and clearly instead of rushing through like some ppl 😅) in this video. It was almost like attending a virtual class! You’re the best. 🙌🏽 Such a gem. I take notes to your vids. Lol.
Great Insight! I just started out as a Social Media Manager and I’m trying to study the ins and outs of This platform and Facebook to start off with in my services! Thank you!
In my experience, success with digital marketing comes down to getting the fundamentals right. Then moving onto advanced strategies and techniques. Keep it up!
As a Twitch/YT content creator learning tips like these helps me so much, realizing what ive been doing and what I could be doing is whats gonna help me rise to the top of my content. the big thing I took away from all this is use the apps as they are intended and not just use them as a whatever/Im a dude here just posting for the sake of posting. And also learning from others in the field is a massive wake up... what are they doing and how can I do it better/Fantastic tips and well done video! I will be defenatly coming back for more
Super helpful, thanks so much! Would love a part 2 going into a little more depth about IG shopping, as well as the new features that are starting to roll out like IG Guides
Hoping to convince my company (who is stuck in the 20th century) to give me access to social media accounts to revive them. This was amazing. So grateful for you!!
Wow you really broke it down. Super in depth! What are your thoughts on growing social media channels around yourself vs brand. Should one create a “personal brand” where they grow their social media business around themselves or should it be separate?
Glad it was helpful! Hmm it really depends on who your target audience is and what your goals are with the business. I have an IG for my agency but do not actively grow it. It's more like a "portfolio account" I guess you could say. I think it's helpful to have a presence but not necessary for a small agency like mine. Just my two cents. Happy to do a more in depth video on this topic though!
@@thelatashajames Yes definitely! I have 4 clients at the moment that contract my business out for social management. I created a RU-vid channel around that not to grow a big following but to show what exactly I do. Like you were saying, a portfolio.
Thanks, my friend! I love the article. I can suggest WASK for unprofessional advertisers. I am using it to optimize my İnstagram ads because I am a beginner lever advertiser. Sometimes, I can’t understand what wrong is with my ads. So, firstly, I am taking help from WASK smart advice feature. And if I cant fix it again, I let the optimization feature work for me. It is pretty good, my conversions have increased since I started to use the optimization tool of WASK.
These videos are so amazing!! I'm just blown away by the quality. I'm going to show a lot of these to my clients who don't necessarily understand social media. So very helpful! Thank you Latasha :)
This was very helpful + it make so much sense! Utilizing all of IG features when it comes to posting a grid post was my favorite tip. Thank you Latasha!
I love your passion for the actual idea of social media as a tool for business not a lot of people take it as clean cut and direct so your videos are very helpful.
I am a startup founder starting on focusing on our SMM, a lot of tips from your that I will be implemeting. Keep up the good work! P.S. Hope this also helps with your engagement;)
Not a template for contracts, but I have proposal templates and an explainer on where I find my contracts at courses.latashajames.com/courses/smmtoolbox
Absolutely love the video. It was helpful and sort of cemented what I already knew. It helped to understand that I am going in the right direction in social media marketing regarding Instagram. It would be really helpful if you could do a video about social media marketing: Facebook Tip: For Instagram content startegy I make sure to follow 80/20 strategy i.e. 80% of your content should be helpful to your audience and remaining 20% to promote your services/products.
I also have a question for you, when it comes to using paid ads you mentioned looking at the post with the most engagement, is it better to promote that and will that encourage people to look at your other content as well? Or is it better to promote the posts you want more activity on or your most recent? If anyone can answer this, it would help me out a lot.
I am BRAND NEW to Instagram. Youve covered a lot in your video, but I think the best way for me to learn is to use it. How do I go about using it in "learning mode" without using my actual name or the name of my company, so I don't tarnish or ruin my reputation by making mistakes when posting or experimenting with Instagram? Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
I look up to you so very much it's insane! Your diction is from the heavens above and your content is worth every minute spent on RU-vid, thank you sweetheart, you're terrific.
I can't say enough thank you for providing your information. it is really so helpful and clearly elaborate details about the contents and how often to post on social media.
In this competitive social media world, this video can be very helpful for newbies. Great work! What strategy do you swear by when it comes to Hashtags? Are they effective in caption or first comment? As a social media management tool, we provide all options but would appreciate expert advice here. :)
I’m new to this and have been managing accounts for a few friends. I now have prospects outside of my circle. I’m concerned about password etiquette. What is the best process for getting access to clients accounts? In particular for fb and Instagram. Could you provide a link if you have a video that covers that
Important to know how to market on social media in a way that keeps you and your family safe. Or just be very effective at avoiding social media altogether the way it was done in the old days. Which worked just fine. One photograph of even just a head shot can mean your life. I've now had two REALLY scary men either physically come into my business in a very terrifying/inappropriate way or text me very creepy texts that just sent white hot fear through me. I'm furiously resentful of being forced into letting the world know we all exist in order for your business to be taken seriously.
Sorry to hear. But that ain't at the fault of social media. Just negative people. Get law enforcement involved and boost security. You should be fine. Stay safe ❤️
Well, I thought I can learn something more than that from this video. It’s only the beginning as you said, but this series started from January and now it’s July. I was hoping to see more of how can I get enoug courage to start something up, like you did. I need that impulse to just quit the job and start doing what I really want to, but I don’t see that promising future, at least the start which is the most important. Checking out some others opinions.
My problem is that I had a company before having a child but it was when you advertised in a magazine ! The mid 2000s. But honestly I feel like overnight it all became digital and I don’t have a clue how to market or add ways to pay! Pls help
Sure wish there were examples of everything. Especially video examples. All I know is that photos I have posted show in a grid (Is that the right name?) when I go to profile page. I don't understand what grid means maybe. Most of the words you used are unfamiliar to me. Consequently strategy ideas are meaningless :) But thanks, you seem sharp
