My Chinese is past beginners level , but not necessarily intermediate. I enjoy the informal conversations and the English only subtitles. Please post these kinds of videos they are helpful. Thanks!

I'm so glad that I finally found this channel, because when you guys left the Chinesepod channel I was like "how i suppose to study my target language now?". I mean that there is no good enough studying chinese related content in Russian at all and you provide the best such content on RU-vid. Now I have so much cool videos to watch on your channel. Thank you for your being here, you are the best!

I don’t think I’ve ever left a comment on RU-vid either, but I will this time! I found this video through the Skritter app and am so excited about the new content. I’ve been living in Taiwan for six years, and Skritter has been one of the keys to my Chinese language learning journey. I’ve tried taking textbook-centered classes and have dropped out of pretty much all of them (including some expensive ones, yikes), because it crushes me that learning such a rich and beautiful language should be made so boring. Once I started using Skritter, ChinesePod, and other online resources (podcasts, courses, etc.), my Chinese took off. I’m now functionally fluent in most situations and am studying Classical Chinese and Taiwanese with the help of a private tutor. I still Skritter almost every day, and believe I owe my generally accurate use of tones to the app. I have also extensively proselytized the wonders of Skritter to my fellow expats who mistakenly think Chinese is too hard to ever properly learn. :) Thank you Skritter team, you made my world so much bigger!!!

4:43 to follow- 追踪 Well I think I’ll just stick with my lovely “关注” (guānzhù) it’s way easier to pronounce and remember. To like- 按赞 How come I’ve heard more of “点赞” on the internet than “按赞” which was mentioned in this video. All the same I guess both ways one will be well understood. Love this video by the way. Just seeing this 2021 How come I’ve heard more of

Blog in Chinese has 3 terms : a. 博客 (Bókè) : Mainland Chinese term. b. 部落格 (Bùluògé) : Taiwanese term and is using in Malaysia and Singapore as well. c. 網誌 (Wǎngzhì) : Normalized term in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Chinese-speaking world like Malaysia and Singapore. It's derived from Cantonese word 網誌 (mong5 zi3)...............

大陆这边叫社交媒体,社群是对岸的叫法吧?发文po文大陆这边基本也不用,追踪就更奇怪了...我们基本都是关注、取关。网络用语这块两岸差别还挺大的,建议标清楚。

This vid's so awkwardly cute! Hahah all their mild distaste for social media 😂 but great lesson content still!

Ha, you noticed. It's these older millennials that grew up with Facebook and are now sick of it all.

On Twitter each Chinese character counts as two characters, so that probably makes it almost the same as English in terms of how much you can express in a single tweet.

WeChat is FAR MORE than a messaging app. It's pretty much everything. Google it. I live in NYC, I'm not Asian and I'm on WeChat!

Yeah, we could do a whole video on how WeChat is used, but for the purposes of this short introduction, we just likened it to a messaging app. If you wanna watch a more in-depth video about it, we recommend MaMaHuHu's video: CHINA IS BEYOND CASHLESS
