I found this webinar really helpful in defining the difference between Theories, Models, Methods and Approach I think the sandwich analogy made it stick in my head a lot better than just reading what they are about Thank You 🙂
Our pleasure! we are glad you find the sessions useful. Maybe in the new year you would like to join us live - we start again on 13 January. They are always at 7pm on a Wednesday night.
@@siobhanmaclean9614 Thanks for the invitation. I just purchased one of your books and I wished before diving into generalist social work the school would have introduced the students to your book. The book is helping me to make sense of it all by connecting the dots. The book really helps graduate students diminished the impostor syndrome, it actually helps build confidence. I'm just thankful I had the luck to stumble to your teachings.
Thank you Siobhan and your team, I have learnt so much for your Webinar lectures, i can not express in words how much you have contributed to improving my social work skills .
Very informative presentations, thank you! My Question would be - where will the intervention be on the envelope? Or will be just to the level of assessment?
Thank you so much, the Envelop Activity looks very interesting and something I would use with cases when i'm qualified. The Tree and Envelop activities are easier to make you understand why you are using these theory's, models, methods and approaches within your work.
Thank you! I got the reflection cards and theory cards, they're both great! I just wish the theory cards weren't yellow and looked more like the reflection cards.
our next session is tomorrow - you can register here us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_W7Xn0EbZSNajQESb4aWxvA or each week send an email to webinars@kirwinmaclean.co.uk and the automatic reply will give you the link for the session that week.
Thanks for the feedback, many of our webinars do refer to CRT. We are based in the UK not the US. Are all the theories we refer to based on US history? This specific session was just taking us back to the basics. I am fairly sure that thdere is reference to CRT on one of the slides too.
