Thx man. Yo good luck to you guys and that other paladin guy making a run at it on youtube. I forget his name but my brain has him pegged as "ADHD" Esfand. I watched his stuff a bit to see if I could learn anything Paladin Related. Same with you guys who I just watch for news these days. My "Hope" for SoD PvP is that Blizzard waves the white flag and puts in a 20 or 25% PvP damage Reduction. Preferably in the form of "In every rune slot I can take a -10% Damage taken from enemy Players" Because that + New Gear and Trinkets + the Opportunity cost WILL take YEARS to Theorycraft out. One of the issues we PvP theorycrafters are running into is that Melee Classes gain +20 to 25% DPS from all 14 gear slots... with 80% of our total PvP Damage coming from us being naked with weapons. I recently looked at war and rogue and this math also seems to hold true. For casters its different, there gear more then doubles their damage 100 to 120%. So its just a melee thing. In Classic Era... we NEED that extra damage. In SoD we don't... So very rapidly BiS gearing is just "how survivable can you make it?" Kinda sucks. Imagine trying to tell a bunch of Ret Heads +healing/Stam gear is BiS.
These videos are legit dude, would really love one for healing PVE and PVP gearing wise. The stuff about resistance and gear swapping was all new shit to me.
You can get Truesilver but only through the Alchemy Transmute for Mithril to Truesilver, unless they changed it the Smelt requires 230, so you can mine it with the +5 mining enchant on gloves, but you can't smelt it yet. What do you think between the 2 epic BS helmets and the Thermaplugg rings? Also with the more dps focused holy shock tank is it worth taking off the 1.3 speed hammer for that 2.2 speed sword with 14 holy spell damage on it (probably not right?) I'm just looking through to try and come up with a full end game paladin ideal gear setup to go with the shockforged, but i'm not a math guy
Pre-Raid BiS list is useless right now... Prices are all over the place. Its litterally just do your best to get as much Armor as possible. Example: Heavy Mithril pants on my Server where on AH for 6g... but the matts to make them were 1.2g. Just use your judgement. Some of this plat is on AH for 35g... Its gross. The Bis List would be upwards of 200g on my server... for AH greens.
Some of the stuff here is crazy. Saying resist values at different levels is something thats untested when we have the formula for how resists scale with levels. Saying armor has no DR because of EHP is a horrible argument as it only holds true in a vacuum where you have no other stats you can choose. Gbtl is a useless rune as prot, as HoR will give you all the mana you could ever want, and if you're trying to take the tankiest build possible then you would want sacred shield. Claiming you need anything near this much fire resist for Gnomer just isn't true, even when wanting to be tanky. You'd be better served by just getting raw stam gear, as a potion of magic resistance is all you really need, and its not even fire damage you take it for but the frost phase of Thermaplug. Recommending shockforged gear for shockadin is crazy, as its pretty awful compared to hazard gear. Sure it has more spell power, but the strength, stamina, and the 2% melee/spell hit on hazard is going to make you tankier and give more damage as you still do plenty of melee damage, along with SoM which scales from ap. The SoM nerf has already been cancelled, so it will still be the rune/seal to use.
@@bababeef5460 I did it as full shockadin, though it was a touch rough on the last two. granted, i wasn't in full prebis and the next run where i swapped some pieces to plate of the bear/chromite items it was much better. highly recommend getting magic resist potions for thermaplug though, staying alive is pretty rough without them. with both of those changes i never have any problems tanking anymore
@@SlarkeSSCyeah I’ve noticed without plate and full mail , I could not survive the last boss . I’ll def stick to shockadin though and find plate gear . Do you recommend the holy / prot build at all ? Or better to just go deep holy
@@bababeef5460 I'd say just full holy. If you want to play it safe you can go holy/prot, but it just doesn't give you that much mitigation. You certainly can do it if you're concerned about not being tanky enough till you have some gnomer gear. Though you can also just use holy shock as a self heal as well. Divine favor is big for making it a large heal + the dot from SoL. For Thermaplug specifically, magic resistance potions do wonders for your survivability.
Also, I am not 100% on how the mechanics work but a blocked attack cannot be a Crit or Crushing blow so it means that when you do get crit it is at least 30% less likely that the next hit will crit you. Which is HUGE for your burst damage survivablity Think that's how it works.
sup dude was sent your way, like the breakdown of information and numbers. will try to get it watched or listened too. wouldlike to know your take. Group comp>Gear>Healer>dps=a viable build for your content imo
I made a video. TLDR is +1 Paladin, Preferably RET for JoW and Sactaty aura and HORN of Lordaron. +1 Hunter for Kings sense you are a 31/0/0 Paladin. +1 Feral Druid for Wind Fury.
@@pallytime2156 wasn’t asking your comp. Was saying gear>healer>dps in your comp will help what builds to pick. There is no blanket build especially not a 31/0/0 if your in prebis. Maybe full bis. Too much lost to be an off healer
I made this point I think in the video at some point... 1. That Pre BiS will be 13/18/0 but anything works so long as you have LOTS of Armor... As you get gear and other get gear Holy Shock is likely the future. Of those futures there are 2 gearing paths and no one is sure which is BiS. All that said... you can still tank Gnomer in any spec practically so long as you aren't with any DPS trying to Parce like rabbid animals.@@Flappjacks
I thought about this after my guild raided last week. Have you done this? Will Stoneform actually full counter phase 3? Will it drop stacks, negates damage, etc?
If you have the mana to suport the higher rank its better. It Not R3 is still BiS. Its +22 damage R8 vs R3 at 60. But its 160 Mana to judge vs 300. Judgement damage is about +100 on R8 Other then that its all normal.
how did blizzard manage to make this game succesful when they made decisions like the "improved seal of righteousness" talent? like how can the brain that made that have made the game?
It's a very useful talent in TBC. It increases damage by a lot. In Vanilla you don't notice it as it only increases base damage of the judgement of SoR, but in TBC with the amount of spell power you have, when you crit with it it can make a big difference. That's why Shockadins are a thing there. Vanilla Shockadin, the way they've done it, is just not the same. Give us WINGS Blizzard, and I'll come back to playing a Shockadin.
@@Sodacacik well it's very simple, you asked how did blizzard manage to make this game successful when they made decisions like improved seal of righteousness. The game isn't limited to vanilla is it? the game is a whole set of expansions, and in TBC its quite a good talent.
@@luigiistratescu2756 and we are talking about classic, its like randomly bringing up a talent change in mist of pandaria when talking about classic it makes no sense.
