Update: Looks like Immolate out performs UA. Looks like we're running Immolate now.

@@RealmGamingWoW does that mean we run Fel Guard instead of unstable affliction rune or does that rune slot just not matter now

Wait - Immolate does more DMG than UA?!? I guess the Destro Talents buff Immolate? Still feels really shitty that our crowning glory Afflic talent is rendered 100% pointless.

Might be a point if you have another lock doing pact. Since most locks do destro, u need to have it as affli. So no EA anyways.

I'm not aware of anyone who has confirmed that. Maybe a giga-chad warlock can confirm that for us. UA was actually pretty bad when data mined, I'm not sure if it was changed at all. Also, UA doesn't scale with much of the AFF tree, so immolate might actually be better. Gonna have 2 specs: fire destro and Nightfall/Ruin. Will check tomorrow this affli dot build.

We have dual spec now, so can trying some builds and respec to fire build if necessary.

I saw aflis parsing at 84 idk of the guy was a God but he was in the same dps as the destro

fire destro build is 7-10% more dmg.

Not necessary with a shadow priest's new eyeball pet. Gives a 10% shadow damage buff

Because it's better. 8000 effective health through blood pact for your raid is invaluable.

@@RealmGamingWoW isn't that the tank and healer's job to worry about health? As a DPS why would you sacrifice dmg to help them?

Everything I'm seeing on warcraft logs is imp still. What logs are you referring to? Top 5 logs world right now are all running imp still. The only way felguard does more damage than imp right now is if you put points into demo, which would of course reduce your overall dmg.

yeah man until blizzard give them a special runes that make them stronger or buff UA i dont see affli good , iswear they make SP so great but locks they dont care about it

Was ST yesterday and played nightfall/ruin build. First 2 bosses my runes were pandemic/demonic tactics/demonic impact/haunt/UA/demonic knowledge and the dmg was not that great. About 350-400 dps. then i swapped demonic impact for evelasting affliction and did on par with the shadow priest in our grp doing 450-500+. The poblem here is to sacrifice the dmg from you party into yours. If everybody does good dmg, i think swapping runes there is fine then. fights are long and you dont have to rerfresh corruption its a huge + there.

@@Urteilsdrache I’ve been playing around with a few builds as well.. even going down to siphon and taking the 5/5 shadow damage skills. I’ll try everlasting as soon as I get it. I even want to try soul siphon for pump n dump fights with everlasting just to see.
