What everyone seems to forget is that the traditional American banks are very disliked. They provide crappy services, use every scummy trick to charge surprise fees, have held back updating US payment tech for decades and of course have been the cause of or core to every financial crisis in the last 100 years. People are desperate for alternatives and SOFI is a solid option. PayPal had potential at one point to become the banking alternative but they just stopped innovating and instead chose to extract more money from established customers. SOFI is pushing ahead and working on more and more service offerings that work. They will keep accumulating millennial and gen-z customers and when the boomers start passing down inheritance money steadily or die off there will be a big sea change. Trad banks will be losing their old customers that couldn't be bothered to switch while SOFI will be gaining customers that are growing their wealth. The stagnant share price now is a dream for long term investors. They'll do well over the next 5 years but thinking longer than that they only have building headwinds behind them.

Imo the QIA dipped bc they had no more preferred shares from pre spac and they would need to buy way more common shares to retain their board seat. So if noto if buys then i buy

Sofi is a very long time hold, it will preform better in a lower interest rate environment.

you see that the long term existed before the last earnings call, but the price of the stock was more volatile and higher. Do you mean that 2 months ago the investors of SoFi were different? SoFi stopped moving since i bought. i have heard already the excuse with the interest rats, and it comes from Deutsche Bank. You can not substitute your business model with the interest rates. If your business model is winning, it will perform well independent of the interest rates.

It doesn't seem like much money, perhaps a token amount. CEOs make inane mistakes all the time. Look at what happened to the steak of the CEO of 23andMe. Everything must be taken with a grain of salt. I own shares and hope things go well in the next 12 months. Thank you for posting this video. It's good to see other well-stated opinions.

Had he bought 300,000 shares instead of 30,000, THAT would be showing he's bullish. If anything, he probably bought the shares as a show of confidence after the huge sell-off by Qatar Investment Authority. Because it was such a small amount, it actually looks weak.

Noto is buying because he knows retail investors see it as a bullish sign. He hasn’t bought much. He’s bought around 1m dollars over the years which is nothing to a man of his means.

A CEO saying he is bullish about his own company is pointless… what CEO of a company has ever said the opposite? Third party investment and insiders not dumping 100% of their share compensation is the only thing that matters. Price action is king

I have gone through the process of opening sofi accounts and it was so onerous, worse than legacy banks, that i will never ever buy the stock of this overhyped trash company
