The IF24 has SFT40 which is a thrower. That's why less lumens. Also the battery is 18650 as opposed to the 21700 in the IF23.

I,ve had the IF23 for 6 months now. Working nights roadside breakdown work, and It has become the one that lives in my work jacket pocket. Along with my Wurkkos HD50 headlamp. I use it to photograph the interiors of recovered vehicles, (Using the sidelight in turbo mode) I appreciate that I only have to charge it once a week due to the 21700 battery. Operating the torch is now second nature to me. Whip it out. 2 double clicks puts me in Turrbo sidelight mode. Good to go.. I am also an amateur photographer, who likes long exposure stuff, so use the RGB function to illuminate parts of the scene. Not sure if the scrolling rainbows, and more RGB flashing functions is gonna be worth buying the IF 24, especially for a 2000 lumen drop. But I`m also a huge torch geek, so probably will...

I'm a firefighter and paramedic (yep, work both jobs) and have the IF23 as well. I've used it a lot on calls, from sticking it to cars while using the spreaders on the doors to performing searches to starting IVs-- I even use it to stick the patient report paper on the shelf (metal) and light it up while I type out the reports (I use a yellowish light for that, less harsh on the eyes). I like the clip position for sticking it on a chest pocket, and the double click lockout has never failed me. If the IF24 came out first, I might have snagged it since I've got a ton of 18640 cells, but I'm happy with the run time on the older model. The newer one does have some great features, but not enough to warrant buying just yet-- I do like that Sofirn is making innovative lights, and I've got four others (SP33, C8L, and SC13), happy with the brand so far!

I have the IF23. And added the Wurkkos HD01. Same configuration as yours with the IF24. Only it is even slimmer. Fits better in skinny jeans. 2 switches too. Wurkkos is a Sofirn related brand. Look at big brands like Olight. The new Arkfeld. Perfect light but more expensive than your or my combination

Yep, the HD01 is pretty slick, I have been enjoying the flat body lights. I’ve reviewed the Arkfeld Pro as well as the Nitecore EDC27 and I carry the Nitecore a lot.
