First, your reviews rock. The best things are the lumen graphs. One thing I have realized is that all the turbo lumen numbers are largely, while not lies, so misleading given that the turbo times last so short. What I would love to know (from the mfgs) is the lumens output after 15 min starting on turbo and then just leaving alone. As far as I can tell from your excellent graphs, is that the 33s stays at 1500, and very few flashlights can compete with this (per your other videos), even when paying double. I was gona buy a firefly E12C, but after 15 min it is anywhere from 250 to 1400 lumens for over double the price of the 33s. In short, when on a long walk.. 45min to 1 hour.. I would be more than happy to have this by my side than a 10,000 lumen monster that drops to 800 lumens or 1100 lumens after 5 to 15 min. Just my opinion. Great job and thanks. A challenge for you are anyone else.. what flashlight at the 15 minute mark, after being left on turbo, can meet or beat the 33s' 1500 lumens in a midsize form factor? Is there one or two contenders? Any that can beat that mark? If not, I personally think its the king.
Честно говоря, я не понимаю и эти графики от обзорщиков. Так как они очень далеки от реальности. Я имел много разных фонарей, но сейчас оставил два sofirn sp33s на ближний свет велосипеда и sofirn if22a для дальнего света. Поэтому могу точно сказать что два часа в хай режиме они никак не держат 1500 люмен. Максимум час и то ближе к концу светят максимум 1000. Далее мне приходится останавливаться и менять аккумуляторы на новые, чтобы свет снова стал приемлемым. Сейчас я вожу с собой по два дополнительных аккумулятора для каждого фонарика, и меняю их приблизительно через 40 минут работы. Кроме дальнего, так как его включаю редко. Для него вожу один дополнительный аккумулятор, но меняю не часто. Не знаю каким образом у них получаются такие графики. Я пробовал ещё sofirn sc33, convoy s11, wurkos ts22 для ближнего света, они оказались хуже. Для дальнего, пробовал wurkos ts30s pro, но он слишком большой для велосипеда и выглядит на нём очень странно, хотя свет конечно ярче чем if22a
I love these slightly bigger flashlights that are still small enough to fit in a deep pocket, because they feel more reliable in self defence situations. And a larger battery always comes in handy too ofcourse 😄 Very nice beam profile! Great review as always! 🙂👍
This is the best runtime/sustained output I’ve seen and it has the 5500mah larger battery with power bank function. I wish it had a magnet that’s all I need. I’ll be purchasing this one for its higher output/runtime.
The ability to maintain constant brightness over time with current regulators is what got me into flashlights, I was tired of the older style lights that start off bright and just get dimer over time. This point you make about sustainable runtime is an important aspect to consider before buying any light. As an example, an EDC running 14500 that produces 1000 lumens for 30 seconds and then drops to 300 is just fine if you only need a little burst here and there.
Thank you for pointing that out and sharing your perspective. It is still a minority among modern models, so when a flashlight has it it is worth mentioning in my view. Plus it shows higher standard among other FET driven lights
@@TonyMontana-xj3zv ja akurat lubię 5000K i oni to wiedza więc nie musiałem specjalnie prosić. Barwa 5000K jest nadal biała jeszcze bez żółtego ale też bez niebieskiego. Jak lubisz bardzo ostry biały to polecam bardziej 6500K
Nice review! I love the form factor of the 26650 lights and this one's been on my wish list for a while now. Thing is I already own a Thrunite TC20V2, which is also a fantastic light and is very similar to this one. As a flashlaholic, I don't need any rational reason to buy another flashlight, but do you think that the sp33s is worth getting if you already have the tc20v2?
I own both the Sp33s and the TC20 V2. They are both awesome flashlights. For me the Sofirn edges out the Thrunite but not by much. I prefer the Sofirn because of it's higher lumen brightness on turbo and that it's slightly bigger in length, thus a bit more comfortable to hold. The only downside to it is that it gets a bit hotter than I'd like, but I can put up with it. The Thrunite doesn't get uncomfortably or noticeably hot. It's thermal regulation works incredibly well. It's definitely worth getting both lights.
Like the bezel on this light , overall styling and colour choice. Would you say the SP33S a better performer than the TS22? Cheers and thabks for the review.
@@marksjdejong I wish the Sofirn SP33S had a cleaner flood and came with a belt clip. And I wish the Wurkkos TS22uaed a 26650 and had a better throw while keeping the cleaner flood. Both lights have power bank capabilities and magnetic tailcap - both features are very welcome on a flashlight.
Would be a great addition, just like in Emisar D4SV2 - it is a proof it is possible. Attaching the magnet should not affect charging or performance in any way
My understanding is that the XHP 70.2 beats the 70.3 for pure lumen output, despite the fact that the 70.3 wins for throw. I think Sofirn was going for more of a flooder with this light.
@@johnmpifer I'm far more concerned about the tint, and the 70.3 is going to have a much better tint, no ugly tint shift from the 70.2. As for the output difference, I doubt there's gonna be a perceivable difference between the two.
It is already quite bright. You can try to change LED for a Chinese one that can produce slightly more light, but without going with different driver and multiple LEDs there is not much potential

Pytam bo chyba masz ts22, może na tej samej diodzie i możesz porównać. Pozdro

Ale mam pytanie nt. tego Boost Drivera, czy to normalne, że po zapaleniu się przycisku na czerwono tryby świecą słabiej? Bateria (oryginalna) wówczas ma aż 3.7v, czyli więcej niż deklarowane 30%, a przycisk robi się czerwony i tryby słabną, szczególnie high, czy to normalne? Ponad godzinę świecenia na zielono na trybie high, plus pare razy turbo to i tak świetny wynik. Pozdrawiam
Hello! How would you rate the SP33S against the Wurkkos TS22? If you had to pick one, which would it be? I have two SP33S flashlights, one at 6500K and the other at 5000K. I think they're great flashlights, however I do prefer the 5000K tint more.
Take a 5000K then. TS22 is a more compact design If you prefer that too. I would go for SP33S If I wanted slightly more thermal mass for increased sustainable output. Other than that TS22 is a better choice ;)
Ok, ja testowałem też na fabrycznym. Mogę zapytać jakie inne latarki posiadasz? Do czego próbujesz twierdząc że świeci słabo jak na 5000 lm? Nasze oczy nie widzą przyrostów jasności w sposób liniowy - aby latarka dla oczu była 2x jaśniejsza potrzeba ok 4x więcej lm na papierze ;)
Dzięki za komentarz. Nie wiem czego oczekiwałeś od latarki ze średniej wielkości reflektorem OP oraz dużą dioda z kopułką. Co do zasady to jest najbardziej uniwersalny beam, czyli najlepszy na średnim dystansie i do wszystkiego
I disagree with you. sp40 is orite. It is a smaller and better model than witkkos, and what is better is that Sofin products generate less heat than other lanterns. For reference, Sofin.sc18 shows similar performance to Olight Warrior 2 Mini. Sofin products are excellent products with good cost-effectiveness. This product also has better performance specifications than the Olight Seeker 4, but the price is .5/1. I would like to thank the RU-vidr for taking the time to show me a great review and I purchased Sofin 33s Green today.
