Soft Autumn in One System Thru Another Colour Analysis, What Palette Was She Thru My Service?

The second I saw her in black( in the first photo) I knew she was a warm pallete person. The black looks very disconnected. Then when she was in the soft autumn I felt the warm colors were a definite improvement. When she said she tried soft summer I knew that wouldn’t work because she was too warm. I was thinking maybe she was a warm autumn or a true autumn. When she turned out to be a warm spring I wasn’t too surprised because she is so warm.

I guess that's what happens when a system doesn't differentiate between True Spring and Warm Spring or True Autumn and Warm Autumn. (Same about the cool seasons, really.) They will figure out you're in between, you're not light, but you have warmth, so you HAVE to be Soft Autumn. What I found: I got typed as a Light Spring in a 12 season system and felt like those colors were too light for me. I see how much I benefit from warmer colors (Summer colors are really my worst, maybe a few of them are somewhat okay-ish, but most really aren't and I am definitely not any type of Winter). The fact that I can wear colors from both the autumn and the spring palette confused me a lot. I am not claiming to be a Warm Spring at all, but I know for sure that I would not be a Light Spring in the system you use (my natural hair color is definitely too dark for that which I can see now that I am growing it out and there is no significant distance in depth between the level 5 color I used on my hair and my roots). That's such a minor difference so most people assume I perfectly matched that warm bronzy brown to my natural hair color. I had blonde hair as a kid, a pretty bright, very warm honey blonde for the longest time (from age 4 to 12). I still have a strand of my hair from back then and I was stunned, when I looked at it in a daylight setting (and not in cool-white indoor lighting). And I think as a Light Spring that specific hair color would look off on me (but it actually makes me use way less makeup and I go without any foundation a lot since I wear it). But I will see what my hair color actually looks like once it grows out more. I don't feel like Spring is wrong for me in general, I just feel like the Light Spring colors lack a lot of richness and spice for me personally and are the wrong type of bright, if you wanna call it that way. It's like they are taking away any structure from my face, making it look like a flat surface and that's probably not the image any type of color analysis result is meant to create. No matter if it's seasonal color analysis or any other type of color analysis.

My mind is blown! I’d always assumed that a warm Spring would have really obvious warm overtones in their hair! So intrigued by this…. Which goes to show how people trying to get their colour analysis done in FB groups etc., could be an exercise in frustration and lead you up the completely wrong garden path. I honestly need to stay away from those groups and just learn here… lol!

If you ignore the hair and eye colour, you can she has a brightness or clarity to her skin that does not belong to soft autumn or soft summer.
