BMW soft close doors are all about convenience. In this video, our videographers Dylan and Chaz are trying their hand at installing this upgrade in BMW F30. Check the soft close doors retrofit for your car: www.bimmer-tech.net/products-...
Adding soft close to your BMW makes it possible to shut the doors easily, quietly and more importantly securely, without any friction.
Here are the tools you’ll need for the install:
- Pry Tool: BimmerTech trim tool kit
- Torx: T-20, T-35 screwdriver
- Cable: electrical tape, zip ties
- Pliers: channel locks or pliers
- 10 & 8mm: deep socket

Do you have a kit for Mercedes GLB? They didn't have the soft close option for the GLB, and its hard to close the doors fully on them, you about have to slam them to close them all the way.

Hi, no we don't, sorry. We only do retrofits for BMWs.

If you mean whether you can have both soft close and comfort access at the same time then yes, you can.

Does this work on x5 2013 and how could you combine comfort and soft close and who do you recommend in NJ?

Unfortunately we do not offer the soft close kit for X series vehicles. If you are interested in the comfort access, that one is possible for your vehicle. Hi, we don't offer Soft Close retrofit for 6 Series so I'm afraid we can't help you with this one.

If this mechanism fails or breaks, will it prevent the door from closing/opening or will you just lose soft close?

Depends which mechanism, ex. if the lock fails you won’t be able to open/close the door or if there is an electrical failure the soft close won’t work.

Uh I don’t think it was a good idea to lay that foam barrier with sticky black butyl inside the car stuff gets on everything and does not come off easy
