Absolutely stoked for ya Johnny, I hope your Channel goes thru the roof mate,I watch a few Channels and no one gets there audience involved as much as u.You can tell u r about sharing your knowledge n love for the sport.Thanx mate.
Mate my lures arrived yesterday, I’m impressed, congratulations on the development, looking forward to trying it out when this east coast flooding let’s up.
Fantastic presentation John. Not many people who put together something like you have go to the trouble of explaining how to re rig or try conversions. Great stuff and very easy watching.
Good stuff John, got a pack on the way tonight, I had a crack at rigging the slapstick’s like you had shown in some vids a way back, these look great, you have done all the hard work and fine tuning! I can’t wait to get one in the water….. hope they sell like hot cakes and can fund some further makes and models off the back of your experience…… exciting times!
You are doing an amazing job! I have never seen anything like this before. With such enthusiasm you have, and the time spent working the science out coupled with exceptional quality parts! Your videos of explaining the process and details about this lure really is well done. Keep it up, your business i have a feeling will be expanding exponentially! 😁 👍
Mate thank you for your kind words and support. You’ve been watching for a long time now so it’s great to hear that it’s something you still appreciate. 🙏
Thanks John. It's fantastic to see your genuine excitement and the obvious research you've done. I received my pack on Thursday and can't believe how similar they look to the gar I saw on Wednesday night! I was a bit scared about using them before I figured out how to rig them so this video was perfect. I'll have to do some modifications for metre Barra. Can I suggest that you offer a heavy duty option when you release the rigging components. I can't wait to use them. Good on you 👍
Afternoon Greetings from Cairns John, .. Mate, I couldn’t even get to the end of the video, had to pause and go straight to your website - 1 Pilly pack Sold! I can’t wait to give ‘em a try out. Congratulations and good on you. You’ve clearly put a lot of thought into the design of these lures and I sincerely believe you (and us, the folks who follow you channel) are onto a winner here. I reckon I’ll be sending you a big bonzer barra pic as soon as they arrive and back to your online store for more. Best Regards, Charles.
Hey John , all the info I needed right there in great detail , I’ve got 3 different packs and thinking the whiting will be the go now the Clarence river is starting to clean up. Can’t wait to give them a go!!
Thank you Danny. It’s an exciting project and seeing the fish coming along now is so wonderful. I heard a story this morn of a young bloke blowing his PB up with a big flatty. So stoked thinking about it :)
Thanks mate for the vid, first thing I thought when I opened the pack was how do i re-rig. You did it in like 15 seconds, I'm looking at it thinking it's gonna take me 1/2 hr lol. Appreciated. Will send you some pics when I catch my monsters. Love your work johnny 👍👍👍
This is incredible Johnny! I’ve been following your journey from the first day way back when you were doing the first lure reviews in the pool! All the years of hard work and experimentation are going to pay off with this lure - it’s going to be game changing! When’s the Jack lure coming out? ;)
Awww mate thanks so much for your support and interest over the years :) It has been a journey like you say. I still miss those early day review formats a bit. Hahaa. Mate this release has been really positive and met with some wonderful support like yours which has made the time and work behind it all so worthwhile. I got an email from a bloke to who took his Dad for a fish and his old man got his PB flatty on one. 101cm long! And an 82 to follow it up. The photos and smiles he sent me were priceless. It’s gonna be a wonderful ride to continue along. I can tell you, I have got some Jack lures and secret designs that I’ve used for years that I can’t wait to share in the coming couple of seasons. Some really cool stuff to come :) thanks again for your interest and following for all these years mate. It means a lot.
Hey John, received my 4 packs of soft glides in very prompt time, took one out the pack and honestly I just keep picking it up and are amazed how well there put together, thanks for this vid cause I was wondering how to rig a new body when the time comes.......KRACKA
Thanks a lot BJ. Stoked to hear you like what you see. There’s been some monster fish pulled on them in the last couple weeks. Some big comps have been won on em already ;) yew
@@mylurebox Awesome to hear there winning comps, will be flicking one around tomorrow morning for the first time, better take all 4 colours and see what the water colour looks like n pick one
I'll be gettin a pack for my kit. Cant see why pelagics wouldn't take these aswell. That smile on your heads priceless brother wish you all the best Johnny
I was thinking the same, they look great for sight casting to Mahi and small to medium tuna (after upgrading to single bigger hooks and upgraded rings)
I found my 4-8kg 7ft 2 Shimano T curve the perfect rod to cast this lure with ,was finding my lighter set up rod only had a cast rating of 21grams , the T curve is rated to 45g and improved my casting a lot .
@@grantchamberlain2508 I couldnt tell you but they are light .I have a Shimano CI4 4000 on mine and its easy to cast all day.Probably bets go in and get a feel off one.
Great stuff mate, I’ll be picking up a few packs for offshore work - Mahi and Tuna, it might get a bit expensive using them for Wahoo and Spaniards, but what the hell, in for a penny in for a pound😄
Hey mate. They look absolutely epic! Can I ask a request. Ive been looking online on what the colours look like. Can you do a quick episode. With each individual colour and show us a better look at them. I saw on this ep your pearl looks great. And the other one with the blue looks awesome aswell... would be great of you could show case them all. Cheers man
For sure Daniel. Mate they’re running out so grab what you can while they’re still available. I’ll be working hard to release more into the future but it’s gonna take some time. There’s still a few packs left.
I just found out about these baits, and I ordered a pack of each of them to try out here in Michigan for some big Pike and Musky. If they work, I will help you promote them over here the the States for sure. :)
Mate I’m really keen to get over there and try em out. I’ve got some insane stuff coming that you’re gonna fall in love with. Please keep in contact and let me know how you get on. Cheers
@@mylurebox Well, I have a friend who has his own company and I told him about you and your baits and he may try to get in touch with you, if these baits work as well as I think they are going to. :)
Love the 3 colours i got am yet to cast them i may give them a run at kingies soon and hopefully a trip up to forster for big flathead the only thing i can think of in changing mine is swapping ur weedless hook for a bkk titan only to get that extra gape in the hook
I was wondering how you had the stinger at the back hidden unlike when having to rig a slapstick. Very clever having that top slit to hide the stinger wire. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pack.
Mate thanks for letting me know. I’ll start digging and get back to you on what’s gone wrong with your order. Sit tight. I’ll email you with the solution
Hey Luke. I’ve just emailed you regarding your address details. Apparently delivered but need to clear up some details obviously. Gonna make it right as soon as for you mate ;) cheers
gud to know the terminal packs r coming mate. as i said before, i wont change a thing for flat head, why wud u after the effort u put into the design. wat i will be doing is a weedless option for murray cod n barra for tight cover. for open water the hooks will be fine but the swivels, rings n maybe the wire(wats the rating of the wire)wont do the job on murray cod n barra so an upgrade will have to be done as well. maybe an upgrade terminal pack for the guys chasing these fish maybe be an option John, just saying. my upgrades will be done with BKK hooks, decoy terminals n vanfook jigging assist chord. yesterday my son turns up n he sees the Soft Glides for the first time n the first thing he said was murray cod n barra. long story short, we put the boat in n he caught an 87 on the Pike, i got a 50 on the Flathead(both released). that was his biggest n he was so excited n not a phone in sight, both still in the car lol. Sailfish, gud idea n also small blacks on the gold coast n round Frazer. great lure mate with so many options to throw at it.
Love where your heads at with em mate ;) the wire is 80lb. Definitely looking at heavy fish options with rigging upgrades to come I reckon to suit the giant Barra and Cod in the timber. So stoked your young bloke is mad for em
Love your work and lures 😍🔥 would you do a full 3 lure pack all rigged unfortunately people that just want to use them as they were intended all so this being your first lure how about building a hard body for fatties jacks and barra hehehe I know I am pushing it but like I said love ya work mate
great job on the lures man, off topic question what type of battery are you running for the trolling and how big and whats the run time you get out of it
Hi Will. I run a 100aH Revolution Power Solutions lithium these days. I can do 2 days of cruising and fishing at 8hours speed 1-3. If I’ve got to travel with the motor on 5 for 2 hours total, then I get the travel time plus the 8hour session of cruisy use out of it.
Hey John, Just a quick question, Have you ever tried to rig the second hook attached to nylon coated wire as the same hook as the 7-0 decoy ewg hook or same hook with a smaller profile?, Rig it like a weed less or snag free rig if that makes sense?..
Hey John, have you considered doing a starter pack that includes different lure colours in the one pack? It would be a good way of anglers trialling different colours in the local waterways and then buying additional packs in the colours that work best for them?
@@mylurebox your product development roadmap is filling up quickly with all the feedback/ideas. In the meantime I ordered the whiting and the pilly, should arrive in the post today. Side note, the product and the content is awesome!
Gday Jake, I’m gonna do another run of em in September I reckon. That’s gonna be firing time for those big aggressive flatties. Thanks for your interest mate
@@mylurebox got a 107cm on the Pilly colour, actually put two single hooks 5/0 on the front and a 6/0 on the back and it swam perfectly gliding along the top and got absolutely smashed
@@stearno1968 mate that’s so cool! If you have a photo of your fish or even your rigging style, I’d love to see it. mylurebox@gmail.com Love your work mate
