2:43 To remove buble you need to prepare the silicone in vacume chamber. And you get nice and perfect silicone composite. What work for surface buble at leas on epoxy resin is blowing hot air but i dont know if is working too on silicone. But if you have a vacum chamber pute the silicone overther after mix and you will get free buble silicone.

What gave you the idea of creating segments and building them into the structure? Also, was the rigid fabric you attached to the soft rubber necessary in order to create a bending effect?
we are trying to make a soft robotic, but we got some problems.The problem is when we fill it with air it doesn't bend and just one part of it fill with the air. if it's possible for you, please send us the steps of assembling 2 parts in the way that the empty spaces wouldn't fill with the Ecoflex.
And do not use a mold release agent for two parts that you want to glue together (like they do in the video), with most simple molds (in e.g. PLA, acrylic) it is not necessary to use mold release

@@warrenrice1231 still searching for information? check out wevolver.com or especially: www.wevolver.com/wevolver.staff/underactuated.robotic.hand/master/blob/Overview.wevolver (there are some informations for another type of a soft actuator) When you want to build a soft actuator you normally need multiple steps: 1. design the "negative"-mold of the acuator in a CAD software e.g. Fusion 360 2. print the "Negative"-mold with a 3d-printer 3. fill the molds with elastic silicone (e.g. ecoflex) and let it cure 4. assemble the different parts of the actuator (different parts with only silicone, parts with silicone and fabric, tube for air pressure,...) I have a friend who is recovering from a stroke. I've seen soft robotic gloves being used for aiding rehabilitation on the hands. It would been a dream to help him to make such a glove for him since those seem expensive and hard to come by for that reason. I got a 3D printer but AFAIK I doesn't do soft silicone prints... Any ideas how to make it in a tractable way ?
