Mayuko is stil the OG. but it seems like she struggled with a tough crowd sometimes. she was a big no with the whole hustle culture, she would get burned out quick, and that one time she tried to do a live stream on twitch she ended up crying saying the comments were mean telling her she was writing code wrong, then she tried going the content creator way but she ended up going back to getting a job which is not wrong but shes trying out what feels best for her. Perhaps, its better for her to forget about all this and come back when she feels rejuvenated and ready if that happens.
Just randomly remembered Mayuko and searched her name up, her videos were an inspiration for me starting a second degree in Computer Science 2 years ago and I just graduated and am starting my job search soon, hope she is well :). Love the peaceful warm feelings of comfort her old videos provided me

The mouse tip about binding mute is a good one, I have like 6 extra buttons on my mouse I've never touched. Had issues in the past with Logitech's GHub software for configuring your Logitech devices being a real dumpster fire, so maybe there's a way to do this without installing that.

Hi Mayuko! I’ve being working in DevOps for a while and it seems I’ve been stepping into this gray line in development but to automate deployment of system where apps are hosted/delivered instead of coding for the main app instead. I already wanted to become Software Engineer but I don’t have a computer science studies (although I’ve been working in telecommunications and tech industries for 20+ years). So I’m in this on-going journey of becoming a self-taught software developer and your videos have been encouraging me to keep going for software engineering. They have been very helpful giving me a better perspective about computer science, software engineering, and the like. Keep it up! I really appreciate your hardworking dedication! Thanks!
I recently jumped into a software role with a systems engineering background. Wondering if you have any tips to get the code base faster and more efficiently. and also how do you break down connections within a system, like figuring out how data flows through or what functions call another, etc.
Does anyone have any advice for blue light or eye strain. I’m looking for actual effective help, no gimmicks please. My eyes are burning every 20mins for looking at my screen for too long and I have look away for a bit.
Not a complete solution, but if you're in the US, Systane COMPLETE Lubricant Eye Drops could help. I was recommended them by my optometrist bc I have severely dry eyes and looking at screens all day makes it worse. I usually do 2 times a day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and I definitely notice the difference if I forget to use them 💀

I'm one of those people who needs an adjustable standing desk to make it lower than an ordinary sitting desk and then never touch it. Also you actually don't need to switch between sitting and standing, you just need to move from time to time: walk or do some exercise.
Thanks for sharing!! Much like you, I spend a lot of time at my desk being a sales engineer for a very large data center company so having a very functional, comfortable desk is an absolute must.
