Hii @PINKU2023 i am also a mechanical engineer and if you really got into IT sector after Btech. Then please tell me are you currently working on IT or you have already switched for Core jobs. As for me i am in core but salaries provided to a non-placed jr engineer are not that promising as you have mention you have reachee around 26000/month in 1 year that is not possible for core. We can only get that much after 3 years and even after achieving that the future salary growth after 26000 i am not sure of in core. So can you guide me how it's going in IT field as a mechanical engineer?

Lets assume you have 3 years of exp and your current ctc is 6 lpa, now if you have 2-3 offers and max is 12 lpa and join there... With just 3 years of exp you have 12 lpa... What is your expectation after 6,8,10 years of exp? And also think about which company will pay your expected salary after 10 years.... My suggestion is prolong your career as much as possible, Grow linearly not exponentially.... Just like the story of race between rabbit and tortoise... Think about your health also...

So there's no scope of growing in career after a break in the job.. again start from zero or take up less salary as the next employer has upperhand... so I'm trying to understand views if is it advisable to move into data science for a consistent job for a 40yr guy like me if I do a bootcamp course and put all of my efforts?
