There were lesser jellyfish because their breeding season called "blooms" usually occurs from March to July. That's when they are most abundant in that area. You're just in the right place but not exactly at the right time for jellyfish season.

Hi. It’s not yet the jelly fish season. When we went there with my family there’s a lot of jelly fish, like it’s too scary to go down into the water 😹
