Built this soil sifter out of 3, 26 inch Bicycle Rims 1/4 inch hardware cloth.
Drilled into the Harbor Freight Cement Mixer to attach rings and turnbuckles.
Attention: You need a 71"inch long piece of hardware cloth to fit inside a 26inch bicycle rim. I made a mistake and purchased the 5 ft X 3ft piece of hardware cloth. This hardware cloth is hard enough to work with, patching in a 1 ft section did not seem fun. So I had to order a 3ft by 10ft roll of hardware cloth.

Perhaps the best of the simple cement mixer -> soil sifter implementation that I have seen. -Re-purposes existing cement mixer -Cement mixer is not broken, shifter part can be removed -Offloads the cement mixer bearings with those wheels at the outer end of shifter "tube" I should try this for myself.

Yes still sifting soil with this cement mixer 26inch bicycle rim tube I made, still works very well! Because it is slightly tilted down to the wheel barrow, the glass, roots, junk, falls into the wheel barrow and can be thrown out in a garbage bag.

The design certainly solves the problem with power source and being able to turn the machine, but I have to wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze. Seems to me it would be more cost effective to dig a hole and pull-out clear dirt and dump the contaminated stuff in it and cover with clean dirt.

Metal 1" by 1/2" tubing from cheapo bed frame.

I noticed that where the other soil tromels failed was where the hardware cloth was not secured, and moving around. So decided to bolt it up. Yes tons of stainless steel 5mm bolts, stainless washers, stainless steel fender washers and stainless nyloc nuts. Also used silicone caulk to secure hardware cloth to the rims.
