I'm such a simp for Sokka tbh. I don't own ATLA or any of the characters, as you all know. All rights go to the creators. Music credits: Monkeys Spinning Monkeys by Kevin MacLeod/ Wii Sports Theme/ Storybook by Lukrembo
Sokka is actually, in my humble opinion, one of the smartest and most complex characters from the series. I know this video only highlighted his funny, relatable, and sarcastic moments, but believe me, I could go on about how deep he really is despite his reputation as just a comedic relief character and how beautiful his arc is. I wanted this video to be light-hearted and fun though, so I didn't really include any of Sokka's emotional or serious scenes, though he has plenty of those and I love them all. I'm aware that this disclaimer (if you can even call it that) isn't really necessary, but I just wanted to put my feelings out there. Thanks for all the views and comments, btw, you guys have no idea how much I appreciate them 🥰
The reason Sokka wears his hair in a warrior's wolf tail is because he'd be too powerful with his hair down. He already gets all the babes imagine if they met him with his hair down. No other guy would stand a chance!
Fr though, he'd possibly get as much hype as Zuko if he had his hair down more often. He's already got at least one girl from each nation who fell for him ! (Minus air of course)
U know its actually implied that sokka is the reason the world is soo advanced in korra, cuz in the avatar comic "the rift", sokka goes really deep into mechanisation and decides to head off with other engineers to learn more and help them advance, it was also a particularly serious point of interest for him cuz technology was the non benders' way of bridging the gap between benders and non benders and help others not feel inferior to benders, which is something he had once struggled with
Since I hate Korra, I alternate from hating the fact that my two favourite characters were practically cut from the show to I'm so fucking glad they didn't get a chance to fuck up Sokka and Azula so in my headcanon I can imagine that they sailed into the sunset and found a new world, free of Korra and every other fanfic tier garbage in that show.
It's really hard to write a comedic relief character who actually has a personality and is an important addition to the cast, but the writers of ATLA did just that.
I used to have the biggest crush on zuko and got confused why so many girls in the series liked sokka. But looking back, he was really charismatic, funny, and hot
Sokka is the best character in Avatar: the Last Airbender. His absolute brilliance combined with his amazing comic relief make him an essential character in the gaang. In this essay I will be….
Sokka somehow manages to be the leader, the strategist, the smart one, the normal guy, the serious one, the funny one and "the straight man". ATLA writers are geniuses at character writing
As a graduate student getting a Masters in Ecology, that moment in the Fortune Teller - Can your science explains why it rains? YES!! Yes it Can!! gets me Every Single Time.
3:21 what's even more amazing is that the entire crew actually believed this announcement during the most important and serious invasion in Fire Nation history
The whole “I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable” “I’m stuck between a rock in a hard place” conversation is so funny. That episode was great altogether. I loved all the Sokka stuck in a hole scenes. I felt bad for him but it was so funny.
@@cloiespierrobertson9904 Anime is hand-drawn and computer animation originating from Japan. In Japan and in Japanese, anime (a term derived from the English word animation) describes all animated works, regardless of style or origin. However, outside of Japan and in English, anime is colloquial for Japanese animation and refers specifically to animation produced in Japan. Animation produced outside of Japan with similar style to Japanese animation is referred to as 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘦-𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. (from Wikipedia)
I've began to speculate that Sokka was a creation of Aaron Ehasz and Bryke didn't get his permission to fuck him up in Korra, the same logic applies to Azula.
@@juliasplanet7929 I am also genuinely curious why they hate him. I can understand someone thinking he's too annoying or insensitive or something. but hate??
The reason Sokka is the best character is because: He’s not afraid to loose even though he’s a nonbender. He knows how dangerous this world is and his sister that loves him as much as he does her. He wants Katara to master waterbending because it’s effective, useful and he uses comedy when he’s scared.
Sokka is honestly one of the best characters. In the first episode he attacks zuko like 10 times despite being one shotted each time what an absolute G
Sokka is fr the best character i've seen in a show tbh. the sarcasm, the growth, the depth, the humor, the plot relevance, the emotional weight, the design, the voice, down to the stupid little smirks whenever he cracks a joke is just beautiful and i will eat up every scene he's in
"The only thing we're hatching... is an egg...?" Bruh even Suki was like "oh no no no dude" Also my favorite line in the whole show is the way he says "THE LIBRARY!"
