Just an FYi, the person that posted about the SDJ cream attracting spiders also said earlier in the summer that a shampoo she used was also attracting spiders. So chances are this person just has a spider problem and has nothing to do with the products she's using

OK, I purchased this cream for my daughter as she loves Sol. She put some cream on a paper towel and placed it outside, and we have not had 1 spider. & we live in Australia with 1001 different species of spiders and wolf spiders. This is all boo-hockey! I also work at Mecca, and I'm so tired of explaining this to people!

The reviewer who mentioned wolf spiders being attracted to the Sol de Janeiro, has mentioned spiders in prior reviews. So… instead of investing in makeup, they should be investing in an exterminator! 😭 I totally do not believe in the product actually attracting spiders. I’ve been in the USA, Philippines, Australia, etc… with my Sol de Janeiro, and have had no problems. I think it’s just reviewers outing that they don’t clean their house. 😂

Saw the wolf spider on Jen Luvs and she said it was debunked and that person actually made a spider comment about another product apparently. They also had a few experts weigh in and said that it was virtually impossible to imitate exactly. Love your videos! Hilarious and informative!

I think consumers who are not makeup savvy might look at eyeshadow palettes differently than makeup artists. I understand how professional makeup artists, as you both are, look for a color story and how it inherently makes sense. As a basic consumer, I look at a palette and decide how many of the colors I wouldn’t use and then decide if it’s worth the price. I don’t have a lot of palettes (because of cost and I don’t want clutter) and I use to the max the ones I purchase so I like when there are different colors in one palette (that suit me of course lol) and other finishes in one palette is a bonus. Maybe to make a palette more appealing to more consumers is why companies don’t always think in terms of a solid color story? It is important though for all the colors in a palette to be quality. Just wanted to mention this view point. I appreciate your professional critiques and input and learn a lot from you two. Happy New Year to you both! Looking forward to a full year of B&B!

Oh, same! I also look for specific colors, like I keep trying to track down a green & a bronze I like, but not many palettes I've looked at have them (I want color, but a lot I'm seeing are so neutral, like 🤮). Also, give me quality! I'm so tired of oopy doopy chalky, barely there, dust. Like, no! Higher cost to me should equate higher quality, but it often doesn't & that's ridiculous.

We live in the desert with lots of spiders & snakes. We also love Sol de Janeiro. We have NEVER been chased by spiders & snakes. Wolf spiders are great hunters and good natural pest control, but not of humans 😂

omg when the MUFE vendor came to train us on that powder she tried sooo hard to make it work that she was selling it as a loose blush/highlight/bronzer. she never even told us to set makeup with it, she just trained us all to grab a shade deeper and use it on clients to warm up the cheeks 😭 you know a product is a flop when the vendors don’t even want to sell it to you lmao edit: typos lmao

Was watching a reel by Javon Ford concerning the Spider situation, I think it’s very insightful and definitely debunks the theory of this particular product attracting spiders. He also claims that the same reviewer posted a review months prior about a conditioner also attracting spiders. Maybe that person has a spider problem in their house.

So about the Makup Forever setting powder, I saw a video - I think it was Morgan Turner but I could be wrong - and she used the setting powder in a demonstration as a HIGHLIGHT!! Like she literally used a small highlighter brush and put it on the high points of her face and it was a literal highlighter on her. Like glow. Ghouls and goblins galore it was glowing!! Thought you should know because it was hilarious. Like they marketed it as a setting powder. I feel like Johnny when I say, that ain’t a setting powder mama. That’s a highlighter.

I kid you not, I was at Ulta the other day getting a liner and the lady next to me at the essence products was looking for a nice gloss or lip something or other and the worker goes "I've got just the thing. Its perfect for what you're looking for." And goes behind the register and comes back with that silver tube and I just knew... Thanks to this pod I could recognize it from miles. I'm basically a Fairy Godmother to the spiders that live in my house, I leave out bottle caps of water for them during the winter, rescue them from the bathtub if they get stuck in there , drop them into the house plants and buy a few dishes of meal worms . I've even brought my favorite garden spiders inside ( in Mason jars ) during hurricanes and returned them outside once it was over. ** Understand however I do not live in an area with venomous spiders so although there may be Dark fishing spiders , Giant house spiders, Wolf spiders, and big beautiful Orb weavers, nothing is going to do any damage if I get bit. I'm an avid gardener and they are beneficial garden allies....so are the snakes, toads, frogs and native bees. I'm aware most people would think I'm looney and I'm OK with that.

I am a HUGE fan guys, seriously, I don't miss an episode! I was actually kind of shocked by your reaction to the spider BS ... I've seen a lot about it, and a chemist has chimed in and another creator exposed that the same reviewer left the SAME kind of review on a totally different product on another website claiming that product attracts spiders too ... Pretty much bebunking the reviewers claims - it's not the product attracting spiders, that reviewer just has a spider problem 😅😅 but I also know that arachnophobia is REAL !! I actually grew up deathly terrified of spiders ... Now, as an adult, I literally live with brown recluse spiders making an appearance in my home from time to time ...I eventually got over my fear of them. I love you guys so much that it didn't even bother me that y'all reacted the way you did -- I get it!! This video was awesome and actually very helpful!!

You could do like the What Not To Wear show and have ppl bring all their make up and you can go thru it and toss or critique. Then take them shopping and teach how to use and then they get to put it and show what they learned. Sign me up for that.

I love how this entire video is roasting these products and RU-vid just decides to push ads OF SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS on the video! I’ve watched this twice and have had about two ads for each watch, and every ad was for one of these ROTTED products. Either RU-vid needs to get their sh*t together or you should try to see whatever bad makeup products they suggest on these videos 😂

Another great episode 🥰 The Make Up For Ever is a finishing powder; meaning your makeup is finished/over with, time to start again 😆 As far as spiders go, I used to be very creeped out by them (except for jumping spiders; I've always thought they were so cute!). I now live in a basement that gets all sorts of creatures. I'd rather have the spiders than a centipede; so much creepier. As long as they stay in places I don't go, like behind the washer/dryer. Little spiders still creep me out (I have nightmares about being covered by them without noticing until it's too late 😱), but I'd be ok with wolf spiders, since they're bigger. Word of caution if you do encounter a wolf spider though: the mamas carry their babies on their back, so DO NOT DISTURB THEM or else they will scatter EVERYWHERE. Once, I had a wolf spider a few feet past the door I came in at work. Dropped a ream of paper on it and kept walking. They have their place in nature, not my workplace, lol

Eucalyptus will help keep creepy crawlies out, I love hanging real stems from my shower head especially when allergies or a cold is bothering me. The steam from the shower laced with the essence is something I personally find soothing. You can try oils at the locations where a crawler could enter your homes. 🕸😵‍💫 You both are looking fine in the new year! I hope you both have a fantastic 2024!

I’m so glad you hate Black Honey as much as I do. Back when it came out originally, it was expensive for me, but I bought it. I have never been more underwhelmed by a beauty product. It was just a gloss. Then I lost it and I’m still mad that I didn’t even get to use it up as a gloss stick. Black Honey was my first, and still my biggest Beauty Dream Shattered.

I actually asked an entomologist I work with. He said it’s not the cream. It’s winter and things want to come inside so we just notice them more and if it follows it’s because wolf spiders like to be high and you’re probably the tallest thing around.

Loved this video so much! I really enjoy hearing your reviews of products..the TRUTH! Being actual artists with taste and no fear, it is a joy to listen to you both. Too many “influencers”🤢won’t speak up about garbage for fear of not getting free stuff or upsetting their followers. FYI the Mercier photos were photoshopped.. all you need to do is look at the iris in the eye.. the lights are in the exact same spot on each photo… which would have meant that she would have to have sat in the exact same spot each, and every time, which would be impossible…plus no hairline hairs or brow hairs were different. I hate liars…and that product!🤪 Adore this channel.. my favorite

Wolf spiders are actually not aggressive at all. And they're good to have around the home because they eat brown recluse spiders and other insects! But Wolfies can grow pretty big so theyre intimidating. I get them around my front & back doors pretty often.

I'd love to see y'alls take on Gaga, because while her make-up wasn't my focus, I was really into her fashion, especially at the beginning of her career. To me it was like she was wearing art pieces and as time has gone on and she's become more movie star, she's fallen more and more into basic beauty standard. She takes some risk, but not like she used to.

I'd love to see it too. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan at first (to be fair, I'm not a big fan of pop stars in general). She gained my respect when I found out that she writes her music & plays multiple instruments. Add on her incredible voice & vocal range, her acting ability & the makeup line (which I truly believe she's involved with & it's not just a cash grab) & I'm definitely a fan now. I'd love to learn more about her for sure.
