PUMPING HOT AIR INTO MY HOME DIESEL HEATER AND BATTERY POWERED WITH SOLAR ENERGY OFF GRID STYLE SELF SUFFICIENT POWER HEAT PUMP
I bought one of these for my garage, and then thought....... I could heat my home with this! So that's exactly what i did! It is working great pumping hot air into my home. It is keeping us nice and warm and super economical.
I have a carbon monoxide detector just in case, but you don't get any fumes indoors at all
.
I hope this may help you in some way. Even if it just makes an idea pop up in your head, of how you can heat your home in cheaper way.

Hi Andy. Are all those usb ports pumping juice out of that little pannel? It’s a cheap way to learn about solar. Solar means sun, light reflection is your friend, clear walls are good, the black top of the case not so much. ;-) Well, I would say don’t build to much around that panel and controler, you need more power, and efficiency. Because you use a 12V battery doesn’t mean you must use a 12V solar panel, exept with a cheap charge controler maybe? The panel must deliver around at least 15V to fully charge the battery. If it’s cloudy, instead off producing 18V the voltage drops under 15V and there is no charging. If the panel (array) is 36V, there is more room for voltage drop, better production. I have 6x100w panels, 600 Watts at 12 Oclock 21 of june, 30Watts at chrismass when we need energy. You said the heater needs 2 amps? 12V X 2A= 24Watts. Cheers.

The issue with solar in the winter months in the UK is you’re just not get enough energy through the solar panel to charge the battery/s, as we want to use the heater in the winter months solar isn’t the answer.

I use solar to my lead acid battery to prolong useage. But my battery is old so it doesnt like high heater settings but at a middle setting and solar panel it'll last all day no problem. I use the application for my ice fishing shack so what i do i leave my truck run for startup nd shut downs. 2 batteries in the truck 1 start 1 aux with an isolator ao never kills my starting battery

Nice idea but that small solar panel will not put now where enough back in to what the heater uses even if it was full sunlight think the heater uses 800mah + running reckon that panel is max 300-400mah

i had thought of this as well , but was wondering if the solar panel could charge the battery with more volts than it used while running , if it cant will it just go flat at the same speed as just running it of battery power alone ? could be wrong , i have a solar panel charging my diesel van battery it works very well , but only when not running the motor .

How long have you been using the diesel heater for? I've seen mixed reviews on them and want to get the opinion of someone who is using it and not just reviewing it.

these heaters are great. been using them for 18 months, really economical and push out a good bit of heat. i recommend cheers andy
