Dont use Henry's ever for Solar Its a consumer product M1 is a structural roofing sealant that can even bond in slightly moist environments. Have fixed Henry's related leaks far too often Henry's also gets brittle after 7-10 yrs. Horse Show of sealant on the flashing helps weep any condensed moisture, seals any deformation of the flashing. fill hole with a squeeze and leave a paddy of sealant over the hole for the lag to drag into the rafter. that's a lifetime sealed mount.
Thanks, I couldn't find a video that showed me certain things. So, it's a bit long and boring, but to the right person, it's the right video. Good luck.
Not sure how many years of life that tab shingle roof has left on it, looks pretty worn. Probably would have been a candidate to re-roof before mounting the rails.
This roof was for sure a candidate to to be replaced before installing solar, I guess its a good way to make the client call you back after 2 years to remove the panels and reinstall them again, "repeat client" Lol.🤑
Flashing feet suck! A lot more invasive and take exponentially longer to install. There are far better options that more than make up their increased cost in their labor savings. Then of course, you also do much less potential harm to the roof
