Have 3 different types Eufy cameras, 3 security contact sensors and even two of their baby monitors. Been happy over the years with them all and Eufys customer support when I had to use it was excellent. Personally recommend them.

If you don’t have direct sun on the s40 for long enough , are you able to plug the solar panel kit into the micro charge slot on back of camera to position the panel better to charge ? Has anyone tried this to see if it works ?

The Eufy has to be the best camera that you have reveiwed yet. There are some things that are a little off, but otherwise the camera is the best!

I like this one but it needs more storage. And it needs to work.wireless with a nvr. And 200 dollar is kinda steep they sell simular for 90bucks. But this one is better quality.

So if I understand this camera properly. Whats to prevent a house robber from just taking the camera(s)?

Eufy is coming a long way but if it is coming from the orient, take it always with a grain of salt. In this case with more than a grain of sun.

1) at $250 compared to $50-$100 of other wireless cameras it costs too much 2) it would be better if it had a port you could plug a wired solar panel to put the panel in the sun so the camera can be out of the sun 3) should come in 720p, 1080p, and 4K options

Too expensive.

The main flaw I see here: A solar panel needs to point toward the South. A security camera is needed to be pointed in every direction of the 4 corners of the property. Well, you clearly see the major problem here. I prefer the independent solar panels that at least could be directed to the sunniest side and not in the otherwise dictation of fixed shadow side. Then the motion detector on these devices is typically and notoriously anything but desirable or designed-able... That is if the word exists!!!
