I’m just gonna say it… if another channel does a version of what you want to do, I don’t care. I want to see how you do it. I like your style and how you teach. Thank you! 🥰
Same here. I’ve watched a lot of haunt Chanel’s over the years and this is the one I keep coming back to. Something about him seems like just a genuine person. I love his style and personality about everything.
I saw someone do this tape and pipe for cornstalks I think it’s great. The eye sees the brain decides what it sees. As in all art the brain will tell you that’s a stick.
"This is a weird sentence, I'm going to see how dark this black is" 😂 Yay! 🎉 I cant wait for more foam ideas, ive already made 2 fun things from foam. 😊
U ARE MY HERO!!! I love ur teaching methods, and how my brain seems to work alot like urs. Lol 😅 please keep up the good work and if some other channel beats u to a project, please still do it. Ur way of teaching projects is soooo better than any others😊
Why did it take this long for me to find this channel? Saw the pumpkin using spray foam thumbnail and clicked on it, cause who doesn’t LOVE spray foam in a can. Now I can’t get enough. Thanks. Some great ideas!
I'm currently working on one but couldn't use the setup you did for the head. It wouldn't sit the way I wanted so I'm going hot glue a swivel speaker holder on the pumpkin bottom and to the top of the tee. That should do the trick. So far, very happy. Thanks for the great videos. I'm chronically ill and haven't decorated in years. You inspired me to try, thanks ❤
I love how you get the same if not better effect as everyone else but in half the time and effort it’s genius. I was also wondering how you like to do cheap tombstones, specifically without using a rotary tool or laser cutter or anything like that. Most RU-vid tutorials I see include a laser or a rotary tool.
We have been using the paper tape method for a long time, and small pieces taped together and rubbed with black and brown shoe polish (yes, we even made our own shoe polish lol) looks like faux leather. I love the use of it for "sticks" in this video. I'm going to throw both techniques together snd and go for a shaggy elm effect. Thank you for this tutorial! YOU are awesome! Keep em' coming.
Nice to see a proffesional use masking tape, i love love love that stuff i use it for more things than i probably should 😂 i just like the texture and the way you can build out shapes with it
I've made a bunch of jackolantern heads from old empty balloon helium tanks using a plasma cutter and welder. I've used old red led car third brake lamps hooked up to 12v power source. They turn out great. As usual great tutorial. Keep up the great work. Planning to make some of these like you show.
Recently made a hooded deer skull effigy 'scarecrow' out of a steel garden stake, black twine, local fallen branches, deer skull, and creepy cloth. Went for a triangle design to form the body and draped him in creepy cloth. Then, rather than any paint to detail I used some spray adhesive to create some saliva pustules and spider-webbing. Easily my favorite decoration this year and we're just getting started with creating!
Wow epic scarecrow solar very unique and very incredibly cool definitely has the Hallowestic look to it eerie, scary and very realistic I absolutely love this creation on the Solar Cornstalk Scarecrow 🎃
So last year I wanted to frame in a vampire wall mounted head (think bronze bust) that i 3D printed. I wanted to frame it in with organic lookong creepy sticks. Rather than spend hours looking for perfect sticks in the woods, i did something similar to what youve done. I built a framework out of ceiling hanger wire, covered it all with tinfoil. Then covered the foil with masking tape. If i was to do my project over again, i would have used black painters tape. I used beige and painted it black. I found myself repainting and touching it up constantly since the look i was going for was all black sticks. Great job as always and thanks for sharing!
I appreciate that you are a professional who is willing to show the regular person with very little to no experience a way to create things on a budget we can be proud of! THANK YOU & WELL DONE 😊😊🎃🧡🍁🍂
Love your stuff dude! The center looks a little empty. When I made mine I used sasserfrass root all twisted up. But I covered mine in shredded burlap. It adds to the creepy factor when the wind blows. Keep the great ideas comin!
First time viewing your content. Very cool! Love Halloween! Will definitely be making one of these! Have to say that your straight talk, do it your way, I do it mine style, cracked me up and I love it!
you dont teach artists, you inspire them to act- then they use the tools and materials to create, I just try to add tools and materials to the arsenal.
How did it take me this long to find your channel? I just spent the day watching your videos. Your stuff is amazing! Thanks for the inspiration inspiration
I'm in tears! Your Gomer Pyle impression at the 6:12 mark- "Go put some tape on it"- made me spit coffee, lmao. Awesome video as always, but that little nugget was comedic gold.
LOL. Love it! Your just like me! I love Halloween too! I wish it was more than just one day a year. I also don't do "happy" Halloween! It has to be scary! The scarier the better! Thanks for sharing another great tutorial! I have never had a criticism about any of your tutorials until now, but I think this scarecrow needed a bigger head to look proportionate. I have also been loving your foam mask tutorials. I just need to get all the materials (hair, paints, etc to make one now) BTW, I know what you mean about some countries not being able to get certain materials. Another channel I watch, the guy makes almost everything out of foam blocks. I have looked high and low, talked to all the big box stores, I dunno if we have different environmental restrictions here, but those foam blocks are not available anywhere in Canada.
Love this & corn stalks are easy to get a hold of here! love the solar head, make it so much easier or lighted props & don't have to worry if you turned them on. I had no clue they had flame solor lights
Allen…you guys were just here in Iowa. We would have given you all the free corn stalks you could ever want. Lol not sure the crew would have enjoyed the ride back very much.
I actually thought of this video while I was there- its a $15 scarecrow that many could be made easily and maybe line a dark walk way with them? the solar lights means they would even turn themselves on and off.
What I have is, a totally obscene abundance of is fuggin Palmettos. I learned last year cut em, strip the strips, and dry (takes couple a days tops) Makes awesome wreaths AND when dried, smell really nice. So, Guess what "Something" is getting a "body"? Awesome as always you Manly Artsy Fartsy Creative You!😁
This is way i love watching you because you do dark and scary thats the true Halloween decor for outside other RU-vidrs mostly do cute stuff its supposed to be scary not cute lol
I'm new to your channel & love it. I used to do Taxidermy (many 🌚 ago) and used the spray foam to create habitat bases...lots of fun. Where is your haunted house located?
I’ve been inspired by your channel for over a year now. I’m making my very first loctite spray foam pumpkin tomorrow; inspired by your recent video. I’ve been making Halloween DIY’s since August; to get things ready for Halloween (My favorite holiday). Ever since I found your channel, I promised myself I would make a few homemade Halloween decorations each year (before the season starts) to prepare for October. I bought 5 of those pumpkin buckets at Walmart, I’m paper papier-mâché-ing one at the moment, and the other will have cement poured into it. I’ve seen some videos where people fill them with quick set cement, push a cling wrapped solar powered torch light inside, then remove the light before the cement fully sets. You end up with a pretty cool cement pumpkin torch light holder, perfect for outdoor use. Pumpkin buckets are pretty inexpensive, can you show us more ways to use/flip them into something super cool? Thanks your keeping me entertained with all your wonderful Halloween videos! Hugs!! -Mia Z. ( Southern California) 🎃🖤🧡💀🦇
I love it! Now I'm curious to know what video idea you had someone else had done. Honestly I think you should still make that video though! Your way of doing things and explaining is different than other people and I enjoy your process, its easy to follow, and you show us how to make stuff without breaking the bank LOL
I would not mind seeing you do something that someone else has done. First it happens. Second your takes are often more creative and cheaper with a better more natural result. Also on one of your streams some time ago you did a scarecrow with a plastic bag filled with bags head + wood + 55gal garbage bags + heat gun and for the life of me I can’t find it 😞 if u or anyone has the link I would greatly appreciate it ❤
Man o man!! That sure is a corn fed Jack, he could even be pickin' and ginin' right along with Buck and Roy, i tell ya what😊 Mr. H, if you can't get corn stocks, might find some shatter cane growing around the back roads. I know they grow crazy out in West Texas, looks alot like cornb stocks, and get about 7 foot tall. I'm not sure if they grow out your way, though? Hope that helps. 👍👍
I need to know where you got the packs of cornstalk, I also live in Texas and can not find any real ones. I love this guy, and will be making one, I play on adding some jute to mine where the tape is! I love the rustic look and like it came right out of the cornfield, thank you!!! Can’t wait to ya at the haunted house!
@@StiltbeastStudios I so wish I lived near your haunted attraction. We don’t really have any good haunted attractions like that down here in South Ga. It’s pretty boring .
I'm not saying you should have blah blah blah, just sharing that I'm going to add some Geotextile/landscape fabric and heat gun it to make it look whispy and worn (learned that here) if I make one and I'm really thinking about doing it
I like the look of that and it was so effortless (to some degree). Would you use some left over corn husk fragments to cover up the making tape? Maybe with floral wire? Since you said hot glue doesn't last well in the Texas heat?
what if at some point, you did a version of this with a reaper cloak? maybe with some corn stalks sticking out. a reaper scare crow? just an idea. i may have to make one next year.
Just finished my first set of spooky trees!!!! Turned out so awesome!!! Now for these. Tomorrow night is the night, finally going to experience the Dark Hour with my fam. Allen do you offer any classes or other materials for someone interested in starting a professional haunt?
Just cuz someone else does a tutorial on something you were going to do doesn't mean don't do it. Still do it! We want to see you "MAKE STUFF" Not all of us watch everyone else's "tutorials" so just do it!
This gets a thumbs up from Talliah, for the halloween man😅 Is the arch coming soon? Im hoping i have enough time before halloween to get all materials😂
