I have and 2014 Ltz Cruze also. Mine has the rs package. It has 75k on it now. The only thing that has gone wrong with it was an ignition coil and a battery at 72k. Other than that, it’s been completely reliable. The fake leather doesn’t wear that well if it’s sat in all the time. My driver seat has seen better days. It looks pretty rough. Not as bad as It could look but it’s pretty worn. Making a left turn at an intersection can sometimes be scary though since it has turbo lag. Once it gets going, it has an adequate amount of speed for what it is. The transmission is weird too but I’ve gotten used to it so it’s doesn’t bother me as much anymore. It Kinda acts like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum if that makes since. Overall, I give my car a 7.5 out of 10. It meets most of my expectations and I’m not too much of a car freak to let’s every single flaw bother me. It gets me to where I need to go and it’s comfortable so that’s all I really care about.
If those are the only problems you had then I'm sure you've had alot more.. the 1st gen Chevy cruze has more problems than any other Chevrolet car ever made. And any car that has the same motor also has the exact same problems. So if you have a GM vehicle with a 1.4L turbo you will have to spend alot of money and or time trying to fix it an keep it running.
Nice detailed and informative video as always. Considering getting a 2015 Cruze LTZ. I was wondering if the visibility is good and lights up the road decently even with just halogens. I sometimes use consumer reports as a starting point and it doesn't fair well in different categories, but I've also heard quite the opposite too. Also interested how it handles in the snow with just a set of good all season tires. I live in upstate NY. Thanks!
If you're 5 then by the time you're old enough to drive then any of the 2014 Cruzes will be in a junkyard because they are all trash and is one of the least reliable cars ever made.
I have a Chevy 2014 Chevy Cruz that was built for FLA police department returned due to excess amount delivered .... that’s the story we got N if y enter the Vin number it came up FLA Police registration. Not now. What can I sell it for.?.?.
Mine is approaching 170k miles and I don't know what exactly to say about these turbo-4 engines. Granted they're fuel efficient and peppy but reliability seems to be hit and miss. Favorite thing these cars like to eat for some reason are water pumps. Something in the design just doesn't allow for a long lasting seal so it eventually leaks coolant all over the damn place.
@@ianseiler8813 To which I agree with. I have a leaking coolant hose and it dumps a good amount of coolant out as it sits. Not to mention, I've had issues with both temperature sensors going bad
@@Adam-mn6st is it your water outlet hose or the water outlet pipe? They're both easy ish to replace but draining the coolant is a kind of pain in the ass.
