Figured since I had the tour of the momentum package I would also show a Inscription! Momentum package---- • *SOLD* 2016 Volvo XC90... 2014 XC90 Platinum-- • *SOLD* 2014 Volvo XC90...
I love the sophisticated, modern simplicity of the design. It's clean and inviting, without overdoing it. The exterior design is simple, yet it will not age quickly. Beautiful vehicle.
Great review, Jake! Do you think you could do a cold start of a new xc90 T6 Drive-E? My mother and I test drove a 2016 XC90 First Edition today and loved it!
Question about the sun roof cover: I see that it's a fabric material and not the traditional thick cover, so it still let's in some light when covered. How bright does the car get when the sun is overhead and the cover is closed?
waiting for the T8 it's gonna be a beast. i have an x5 350 hp 2009 i don't want to downgrade on my hp:) although 316hp is not bad but i like the force. if the t8 is not too expensive i'm in there like a wedge, if it is then i'll get the first edition..
Dmitry Savisky This beauty starts at under 50k msrp :O And max is about 65k i believe for the FULLY kitted out version, the big screen is standard with all trims by the way! :)
You get high end features for 72k. However, I would be happy with a base model under 50k since I wouldn't use all those features. Plus the more features, the more problems you get down the road.
Definitely nice vehicle but I think it's price and questionable reliability, which I'm sure people will say not them but if you count in all the ones who think otherwise you'll see its lower then competitors especially at this price tag. So lease or rental perhaps if you must own one and hopefully it was built on quality day...
Pardon moi? We are speaking of Volvo, correct? Same company who's trying to revive themselves? The review was decent but Volvo is no longer associated I'm the Luxury not popular vehicle category. Check the buyers/drivers. Give your personal opinion but don't make blanket statements.
+Robert Drayton And you're talking about the manufacturer that had to be bought out by the government to keep an economy from tanking. I'm sorry but you're comparing a vehicle that comes standard with 2WD and cloth to a luxury SUV that just one Mototrend's SUV of the year that is still selling for a premium and on a waiting list with a 400 HP T8 model coming out this month. Not to mention this is pretty much a fully loaded Inscription trim....a Momentum/momentum plus is around $20,000 less and still comes with more standard features and technology that is in a completely different class than the Yukon/Tahoe. Nothing wrong with those vehicles either but they don't compare and honestly don't have the same buyers either.
+ray britton I barely paid any attention to Volvo before I started working at the dealership. That being said this is one of the nicest and well built cars that I have EVER been in and its worth every penny.
Clax Europe doesn't have only black interiors, they have all 3 options, the carpets are now black .. more practical, nothing worse than having light coloured carpets, after one winter they are filthy .
T8 has a better shot but even still, it's not a valid competitor. Also, the mere fact that you work for the dealership makes you biased. Leave Super 8 & to further down Broad to BMW, Mercedes, etc. then tell me Volvo still compares. Maybe with Subaru they do. My 2010 750Li is better built than that. Again, I gave you credit where it's due but leave it there. You are an employee! If they terminated you today, would you still rant about Volvo?! Oh okay.
+Robert Drayton I drive a Honda and a VW....I'm honestly more of a Japanese car person and most of my family drives German cars. Never owned a Volvo and neither does anybody in my family and I'm not being paid to say I like them. I just give credit to Volvo for making some incredibly built cars. I've also driven most of the competitors and still prefer the XC90.....its just a beautiful machine that you have to experience in person. Its pricey but honestly still cheaper than a lot of the cars it competes with.
