The 351 WIndsor was the most common engine for these. I own a '71 with the 351W, and the majority of the ones I've seen have them as well.

Looks great! Even better without those ridiculous side moldings they used to plaster on these cars which IMHO really spoiled the sleek design. Plus, pre-1973 without the hideous 5-mile per hour impact bumpers. Just a great find... Enjoy!

The 351 Windsor was the base engine for the '72 Galaxie 500, so it's probably original to the car. Overall, it's in really nice shape in and out. These big Fords are very nice cruisers and give a better ride than their GM and Chrysler counterparts. It would be nice if you had some paperwork to verify the claimed 14,000 miles, though.
