My boss had one exactly like this. Unloved so he gave it to me as my 1st company car back in 1991. Drove the daylights out of it! Best rear suspension for a car of its time.
This car has aged extremely well. It was timeless design. Still looks good today. However my favorite is the 1977-1981 model before the facelift. 2.8i ghia with the black vinyl roof. That would be perfection. Cheers.
I agree I preferred look of pre facelift too. I had the a 1979 2.3 GL with a vinyl roof . I also liked the rear lights and grill more than the facelift
Hi John, hope you’re enjoying the Granada, Manolis is my best friend here in Greece, we’re fellow Capri owners. The car is better than it looks! I also had a Granada 2.8i Ghia S-pack back in the UK, loved that car
I Absolutely Love these ! , For me the Mk2 Granada 2:8i Ghia Auto ( series 1 1977-1981 ) was the best car Ford ever made, this is the 'series 2 1981-1986' which is also gorgeous !, great video
A luxury car like this Granada Ghia from the 1970's & 1980's just oozed luxury and was something really special. A luxury car of today is just another car. A Toyota Corolla and a Mercedes-Benz all feel blandly the same.
My brother had one of these, identical to this car, between early 1990 and late 1994. Registration was A200 MJK and I believe it ended up being stripped out and bangered at Arlington Stadium.....
Hello. I own Ford Granada 1978 2.3 V6 and wonder where is located temperature sensor under the hood, I rly cant find it. The thing is I accidentaly unplugged that cable and cant find where it goes back. It is only 1 wire with female connector on it. Red wire with white stripe covered in black protection. Could you help me locate it? Best regards.
@@automotohistory4619 thank you mate. I already figured out. I got some old temp sens screwed into the engine which has strange connector on it, I ignored it all the time and then some1 told me thats it. ☺️👍
The engine has been described as an alcoholic; tired and thirsty! My parents had the estate Granada 2.8i with a three-speed automatic. I remember it doing 1.3 l/10km with some passangers and overtaking occasionally 😂 150 “raging” horsepower.
Poor video coz you never showed the dash clearly with its features...glossed over from a angle? Plus what about the plush velour upholstery??? Its famous for that shag? And it had A/C which was only in top cars!! But you got the e/roof and chrome edging, loved the forest green colour best...but the graphite was classy on the Ghia x
