Soldered Domed Rhinestone Chain Bracelet 

Thank you Deniece! Painting the pieces would be my last choice. However, if you don't want to go to the trouble of having a piece plated it will work in a pinch. I have seen a number of jewelry paints on the market but, have no been particularly impressed with any of them. I have used testers enamels paints (the kind used for model cars etc.) they work about as well as anything else I have seen and they are inexpensive. I will generally just polish out the brass and paint the soldered area instead of painting the entire piece.

@@Jansjewels Thank you for your text back to me! I cannot find on RU-vid how to re enamel or gold plating or silver plating tones over old vintage jewelry! I was wondering about the different paints used for metal cars. I appreciate you teaching me that you have used it in the past! did you actually apply a lacquer over the top because I want it to remain vintage-looking. Of course I don't want it to look as it's been painted new! Do you think that they bake the enamel on there metal with gold tones in Silvertones in the past?

Enamel is actually glass. So, yes it is probably baked on to the original pieces. We have sold an enamel system in the past. However, it was not truly enamel. It was more like the gel nails polish. It cured in the same way. We stopped carrying it because it had a relative short shelf life and we had to pitch a couple thousand dollars worth of it. As for getting an antique look you could add a patina or do a wash of a darker color over the metal. As for future videos I will keep your suggestions in mind. I don't have a lot of time for the videos and do have others on my list of things I want to do. However, I will certainly keep your suggestions in mind.

Hi Mrs. Loreal O. You can simply butt the cup chain to the bracelet and solder it together. Another way to do it, that would give more movement to the cup chain is to solder jump rings to the cup chain and the bracelet and attach the cup chain with the jump rings.

I have never seen a battery operated soldering iron or heat gun. Of course a torch does not require electricity but it is too hot for a project like this and would discolor the settings.

I believe you could make duster earrings using this curve technique. That would give you a very original unique look.
