Sole F80 supporting Zwift is a huge benefit. Zwift running is free and has running academy with tons of running workouts. Thanks for the comparison, love your videos!

NOTE: This product works exactly as described. ru-vid.comUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

Outstanding presentation! My NordicTrack x7i frame just broke (after 12 years, 6k miles) and I'm looking at both of these as a potential replacement. As a runner, those bells and whistles are nice on the 1750 but seriously, it's not worth dealing with iFit. Kristin didn't mention the subscription cost (because it changes, probably) and it's currently $39/month. My iFit experience started in 2010 and within 2 years my x7i was "obsolete" because they moved on to different operating system technology. For this reason, I'm not ready for fork out thousands for something that is barely suitable for its purpose due to the dependency on optional but tightly coupled technology.

Great review and without a doubt HELPFUL! My ProForm 7500 just pooped out (prematurely imho) and now shopping for a replacement. Honestly, the Sole F80 is my choice after an arduous research effort. Over the last 20 years I've been loyal to ProForm but the lifespan and parts availability has been very disappointing (going in another direction this time with Sole). iFit is definitely of no interest to me as I usually run with active/sport earbuds with streaming content (from my mobile device) during a long treadmill run (just my preference). I simply need a unit with basic functionality I can turn on and go with good speed and incline controls (and will run trouble-free for the next 7-10 years?). Your review helped me immensely in my decision ... and while this review is approaching a year-old it's STILL relevant for us today ... thank you so much for a job very well-done ... keep up the good work.

Thanks! Just bought the 1750 and got a 3, year ifit subscription for $699 too as they were having a promo! Can't wait to get it. I've had a sole in the past, cheaper model and it broke in less than a year. My parents have had a Norditrack for over 20 years with no issues; hoping I get as lucky. Ha 😁

Excellent side by side comparison. I like the features of the F80--quiet and no subscription--Next time could you add a note about the assembly possibilities? I think a white glove is possible with the Sole. I'll need someone to bring my treadmill upstairs and to assembly it. Would like to know how much it costs and whether the assembler is trained on Sole or just a Thumbtack assembler.

Could you do a review of the King Smith / Xiaomi Walkingpad R1 (pro)? I've recently bought it, but would like to know what professional reviewers think of it in comparison to normal treadmills. It's obviously a low cost product, but fits a sweetspot in the market.

I like the bells and whistles that my NordicTrack had, but I've had sooo many problems with it. Mostly with the screen panel stop working. It died again after the warranty and it cost more to replace the panel screen than a new treadmill.

I really appreciate your detailed reviews! I'm leaning toward the NordicTrack 1750 but can't find any information on what built-in (free) training programs are available. I'm mostly limited to walking right now and enjoy a simple hill programs for 1-1.5 hours.
@TreadmillReviewGuru
@TreadmillReviewGuru 2 года назад
iFit has changed how they integrate the free programs. They used to be preloaded on the console so you could access them directly. However, iFit now offers lots of free classes within the app itself. You access these through the main library. There is also Manual Mode that works without a subscription. You can create your own workout and walk for as long as you'd like.
@acanfield87

@@TreadmillReviewGuru I wanted to follow up to say I did get the 1750 and it's a quality machine but I'm disappointed in how iFit only offers a few free video workouts. The lack of even basic hill, tempo, or other profile workouts is a real issue to me. You can run it in manual mode but have to manually select all your incline and speed changes. It's clearly an attempt to reduce capabilities and force users to the $39/month subscription. Given how I am rather "old-school" the Sole F85 might have been a better choice for me.

I’m extremely disappointed in my brand new (1week old) 2022 Nordictrack Commercial 1750. It was advertised to have the runners flex cushioning. It came and feels like there is zero cushion and I’m just walking. Going back and forth with Nordictrack trying to figure out how to turn that feature on. There’s no knob like previous models. Finally they say they are very sorry but their website which advertised runners flex cushioning on the new models is wrong and my model doesn’t have that.. wait what?? Are they allowed to do that? They offered a small (insulting) credit for my “trouble”. I said I’d rather return it bc I want a treadmill with some type of cushioning. They say well then you have to pay a $250 return fee. I’m literally in shock and very disappointed.

Most treadmills max out at 12mph or 12.5mph. If you want unlimited speed, we recommend looking at the Assault Runner Elite. It is a non-motorized slat-belt treadmill so it will go as fast as you do. Those are the types of treadmills used by professional athletes and runners who need unlimited speed. You can find our review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NyiPuMs7atE.html

I was right on the verge of buying the F80; however, I have heard that their customer service is beyond terrible. I train for Marathons in the winter on my treadmill and therefore on occasion need my treadmill worked on. What are your thoughts on the customer service of NordicTrack, Proform, or Sole?
@marathonfreak67
@marathonfreak67 2 года назад
I'm on the verge of the F80 too! My NordicTrack x7i incline trainer has (at least) 6,000 miles on it and the frame just broke. In 2016, a bolt that holds the frame components together broke (literally sheared in two). Icon Fitness (now iFit) was of zero help the first time (I bought a grade 8 bolt and repaired it myself.) And this time they tell me they need 30 days for the "product resolution" team to respond. My x7i came with a lifetime warranty on the frame but their warranty is useless if they don't honor it. It is my firm belief that most of these consumer fitness companies believe people are going to hang clothes from them and that's the standard they build to. The Google Maps part of iFit is great in that it lets you map a route (say a marathon course) and run it. The incline and decline change with the associated map information. Very cool. But at the end of the day I need a durable, reliable machine that will let me knock out tens of miles at a time without fail. For that reason, I'm strongly leaning toward the F80.

@@madhuthecupid Nope. IFit agreed to replace my incline trainer. Im actually pretty shocked given my previous experience. It took 20 minutes to get through and I had to send several pictures but they agreed that it fell under the lifetime warranty. They're shipping the x22i to me for free. I'm sure they'll get some money back on iFit subscriptions but I do have to give them kudos for honoring the warranty. Funny enough, I still had a scan of my original 12 year old purchase receipt which was needed for the claim.

I am looking for a treadmill under $2,000 with the best possible cushioning and a motor with at least 3.0 CHP. The main models that I have been considering are the NordicTrack 1750, Lifespan TR 4000i, and Horizon 7.4AT. I was hoping that the Lifespan would have a little better cushioning because I believe the company targets an older demographic with their Intelliguard feature. I myself am a young man in my 30s with a history of back injuries, but I plan to use it for running about 1-2 miles 3 times per week. I think that Horizon implements a 3-zone cushioning feature (which I've seen in higher-end treadmills) where the front of the deck is more compliant for heel strike and the back is stiffer for push off. Also, where would the Sole F80 rank in terms of cushioning? I'm leaning towards the NordicTrack 1750 because the 10" touchscreen and 30-day iFit subscription is hard to pass up unless I would be compromising on cushioning, durability, etc. However, I've seen a lot of reviews for the NordicTrack 1750 where people either love them or hate them (mostly for difficult assembly, slow touchscreen responsiveness, and poor customer service), so I'm still a little skittish. Of course, I haven't heard glowing reviews about Horizon or Lifespan customer service, either (both Taiwanese companies).
@Teporame
@Teporame 2 года назад
Which one did u buy?
@jaya7905
@jaya7905 2 года назад
@@Teporame I ended up buying the Horizon 7.4AT. It's an okay machine. I bought it right after NordicTrack increased their price for the 1750 $100. Little did I know that they were getting ready to reduce the price down $200 heading into Christmas. Honestly, if I could do it over again, I'd splurge on a Precor, True, or Life Fitness, or I'd just get a gym membership. I don't think that the motors are as good quality in the $1,500-$2,000 price range because I feel my Horizon ever so slightly slowing down on heel strike which can be tough on your joints. If I had to choose between these models again, I might try Lifespan. The NordicTrack seems cool conceptually, but you have to pay monthly for iFit which kind of takes away a lot of the value of it.
