I have a Sole F63 treadmill that was"donated" to my wife when my neighbor moved across the state. It worked great for her for a long time. One day she got the LS1 Low Speed error. I tried to diagnose the problem using the manual with no luck. I finally turned to "You Tube" and Dave's self help videos. I contacted him and got a very helpful response, something that seems to be unusual these days. He offered advice and stayed with me until the problem was resolved. I ended up replacing the control board and belt. Months later the display panel would not turn on. I went back to Dave's videos and again, he spent the time with me to determine the display board was bad. The treadmill is now working fine and I cannot express my gratitude enough for the assistance I received from Dave to make my wife happy that she can continue to use her treadmill. I don't see any stars on the site to express my appreciation, but if there were I would give Fitness Technology a 5 star rating.

Excellent video! I was getting the LS1 Low Speed Error and this video helped me confirm that my motor control board needed to be replaced. I contacted Dave via email to confirm the diagnosis and he suggested one other test to make sure it wasn't the console. I also followed the guidance in other videos to check for walking belt wear. Sure enough, not only did my controller need to be replaced but so did my walking belt and my deck. Fitness Technology Services helped me get all the parts ordered, assisted with the warranty replacement of the deck and answered all my questions. The videos on how to replace all these parts were incredibly helpful. My Sole F85 treadmill is now back in service. Thanks!

I stumbled on this through your website looking at control boards for a Sole F80. I'm pretty sure I wore the control board out because of improper belt maintenance or neglecting to keep it lubed. What happened is I walked at 4mph and after a few minutes the belt would suddenly stop (not slow down) and beep and LS1 error. Thank goodness I wasn't running. I could also smell some electrical in the controller board area. Sole said it was the controller board. Does that sound correct? If so, I'll be ordering one from your site as well as a new belt.

Great video and thanks for your generosity! I have a 2010 F85 that works like a tank and I put all 7000 miles on it ever since I've had it and I don't want to replace it! I usually keep it lubed and cover it to prevent dust accumulation however, just recently the jumper on the back of the Treadmill started tripping in the middle of my workouts. I took a picture with the thermal camera and noticed that the middle the belt is hotter than the sides and the motor control board has very hot components. I also tried to contact TransformCo since they are responsible for the Lifetime warranty but they never replied! Any ideas? Cheers!
@FitnessTechnologyServices
@FitnessTechnologyServices 2 года назад
Thank you the best way to test the walking belt is force walk on the belt on the sides on the logo. Then walk in the middle if it is harder in center then belt is bad ! Also check the deck see if it is cracked or scratch or worn. I have a video on this also . I don’t know if there is a lifetime warranty on all parts motor and deck maybe . Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@gmail I will see what system you have

Hi Dave, I've been watching your videos and I really appreciate all the tips. I've been having issues with my Sole F80 and e7 errors that I can't seem to get their tech help to figure out. They've sent me a "new" control board, and most recently a whole new upper unit because they suspected the e7 error was "burned into the software". No change. Can't even get it to calibrate at all, e7 pops up immediately just like when trying to start up the belt for a workout. Any thoughts?
@FitnessTechnologyServices
@FitnessTechnologyServices Год назад
Hmmm that’s a tough one ! Ok they have a E/7 listed as a power issue. I would make sure you have 120vac going to your controller. If so check your controller power light should be sold green. Not pulsing. Next check your wire harness mostly the right arm going down to controller. Maybe even run it on the outside of upright. Have you reconnected your old controller just to see ! Let me know Dave

Hi. Good Afternoon from the Virgin Islands. Pointer is good. I posted on your treadmill cover removal video that I saw a red light on the Nordictrack control board. It seems to blink the same as your engaged treadmill green light in this video light but it looks more like a warning light in the middle of a cluster of diodes. Wish I could take a photo and show you. Anyway, much help. Subscribed.

Hello, thank you so much for your video! Although I'm still stumped. I have a 2013 Sole F80 and it flipped the breaker after about 5 minutes of light use. After repeat attempts to troubleshoot it now flips the breaker immediately upon hitting the power switch. I admit I've never bought a new belt or lubricated anything. I am just now learning this is typical maintenance that I should have kept up with. Any suggestions?
@FitnessTechnologyServices
@FitnessTechnologyServices 11 месяцев назад
Well thank you! If your unit trips the breaker after 5 minutes the belt or lube could help. But once the unit trips it right away you will need to replace the controller also. You could try unhooking the motor just to see if it is shorting the controller.Can’t hurt to try ! Hi Dave. Thanks very much for your prompt response to my previous request. You had indicated that the issue with the treadmill going to full speed on startup would most likely be related to a bad controller. Thanks for the good content! My F63 only inclines one way when I try to calibrate it (I switch the UP and DOWN wires). When I just press START the incline does nothing but the numbers change on the screen and eventually reads ERR. This is after replacing both the lower control board AND incline motor. Do you think it's another faulty LCB?
@FitnessTechnologyServices
@FitnessTechnologyServices 3 года назад
Hmm hard to say when you switch the red and black and make it work then in normal mode incline does not move this may be due to only one signal being received to incline . Try when in down mode hook the black wire to the up terminal see if that works check your wires in main wire harness for the up signal being lost send me your contact # for better troubleshooting fitnesspartspro@gmail.com

Thanks for the review. Quick question .. Have a case where the treadmill starts running at it's lowest speed when powered on but without pressing start. And the speed and incline buttons don't work. Have to power off to get it to stop. Is the solution a motor control board replacement ? Because I can't see anything on the board to be fixed. Thanks.

@JimmyMac70 Год назад
I replaced the board on my F63 (burnt-out diode) now the breaker pops when I turn it on. What I've found is that disconnecting the main wire harness from the board will stop the breaker from popping BUT then the transformer started smoking/burning in a few seconds. So I'm not sure if this a bad transformer, a dead short in the control panel, or both.
@FitnessTechnologyServices
@FitnessTechnologyServices Год назад
Well that’s bad if you have your main harness unhooked and still a issue with your transformer I would unhook everything I could ( incline motor and running motor) to see they have a issue. If you still have a issue with nothing extra on board you may need a transformer and controller

do you have any advice on actual repairing an incline motor? I have a Pacemaster Platinum Pro VR 120v treadmill with a noisy incline motor. I took it apart to lube it... but on reassembly, the potentiometer that senses screw position is not working properly. Is there a reliable way to fix this (other than trying to buy a new one from the US - I'm in Canada). I tried to reinstall it in the neutral position (jacked up the end of the bed to a zero degree incline and adjusted the screw to that position but the system only works for a while, then sticks at the extreme position and gives an incline error. resetting the machine takes care of it, at least initially. Is there a reliable way to set this up so that the potentiometer is within limits?

Well that’s sad to hear. I do work on plenty of them were they are 10 years or older. It could be the motor wire based on what you mentioned in the video (my wires are black and red, not red and white like in your video). The red one is not attached to the board anymore. However it looks like it may have been soldered on to the board as this doesn't appear to be a wire that gets plugged into anything. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Very informative video.. I started with a LS* error and lubricated the base and got rid of that error. But i always felt a stutter, the belt slowing down , when we put pressure on it (stand on it etc).. I was thinking that it was a motor issue, board issue, sensor issue and after watching this video, I think it may be a belt issue (i.e. worn out belt)... Any diagnosis you could suggest to confirm the same? To elaborate a bit, the belt by itself runs fine from 0.5 to 12.0- speeds. However, lets say at 0.5 speed, when i start walking, it stops totally.. At 2.0 speed, it crawls at probaly 0.75 mph when i stand on it (I am 140 lbs approx)... Remove and re-tightened the sensor, lubricated the board enough, adjusted the belt tightness enough but still no avail.. Before i spend money on a motor or board (I dont think the board is at issue, after looking this video), how do i ensuire its the belt thats the culprit? Thanks again for a very informative video

I attached my Multi-Meter to read voltage off the Control Board, after I disconnected the Red/Black motor wires for the Battery Test and do NOT read any D.C voltage when Powered On, during the Start/3 Second Countdown, or up to the LS1 error. I do not hear any "clicking" during /directly after the 3 second count down and not sure if there was a Relay that should do that or not? Note: I noticed a green LED light on all the time above the motor connection on the board. It appears to read Motor DRV. There is another LED light, not on, next to it that reads "Shut Down". Any advice for sole f63 e5 error. Replaced main wire sections still gives e5.

@FitnessTechnologyServices Год назад
Hmm on newer models 18 and newer they have a e/5 listed as a communications issue. On your unit you may have only one power light located by the main harness if this is flashing then controller is bad
@user-lf9xo1vr4k

@FitnessTechnologyServices doesn't flash, did have a burn spot on red wire going to motor. Sole is sending me a new motor but it's on back order. But I did the battery check on the motor and it runs, don't know how it would do under load. All we did was move it and then when first turned on it started, I turned up speed and started walking and it stopped and gave e5. I think it's maybe the board like a transformer, etc shot.

@funtimes7755
@funtimes7755 2 года назад
Good Morning Tonya, It really depends on what year. the ones before 2010 use the red led as a signal light from your console, not a speed light. If it is coming on, then normally the console signal is being sent. If the belt moves for 5 seconds or so with no one on it, I would start with the speed sensor. If it only acts up while someone is using it or trying, then it's probably a worn walk belt over heating the controller. I will respond to your email on fitnesspartspro@gmail.com where you can send me your serial number there and I will give you the link to our website for the sensor for your unit. I will look for your serial number via email. Here is a link to test your walk belt, do this test with your unit unplugged. As soon as I press start on my year old F80 the screen goes 321 then most often instantly to E4 or sometime it stays counting for about 15 seconds before displaying the error but the belt never moves. It use to do this and upon restarting it a couple times with the incline switched up right away would get it moving. Now the belt won’t start even if you hear the machine trying and goes directly to E4. I’ve tried everything I could think of. Any suggestions from a professional? Feeling hopeless …… Thank you - Josh

Hi, I have a 2016 sole f80. Getting error code e7. Turn on fine and when i hit start, it clicks but the track either doesn't move or barely moves and then stops. Then the error code shows up. Any ideas? I am assuming it has to do with not getting enough power to the motor. Getting 120 volts at the outlet and at the treadmill intake terminals so not an electrical issue. Could be not getting enough power from the board to the motor? Is there something on the control board I could replace that maybe blown like a transformer to fix it?
