If you were to do this process again what would you do differently? I'm curious if you would have done the midsole paint while it was separated? Thanks, very helpful!
@@DIRTY_ELECTRIC I appreciate it. I talked to a cobbler who has done a lot of airmaxes. He said that some they have success with and some not, but because of complaints and refunds after putting so much time in to them, they don't do it anymore. I've done a lot of shoe restoration, but never a sole swap. I just don't want to screw it up, because it's hard to find all white 1s. I have another pair that are just fine, so it's not the end of the world if I screw it up, but I'm going to try it. Appreciate the response
@@patricklary81 oh ok! yea after i do the swaps i tell my clients not to wear the shoes for 2 weeks minimum. Since this video i have learned so many new steps and techniques. Would you of anyone be interested in a detailed updated video?
@@DIRTY_ELECTRIC yea definitely. If you would also list each tool and ingredient/ glue/ chemical that you use, that way I can buy the exact stuff. Appreciate it
Great job on these man🔥and if you ever really dirty these or any other of your kicks up, I would highly recomend reshoevn8r sneaker cleaner. They are kinda pricey, but well worth it
You did an outstanding job. But why did you do everything in the wrong order? Logically you would take everything apart then clean it, then iron it, then paint it and as last glue everything together. It would make the whole process a lot easier.
i used to paint before gluing, but now i always paint after because you have to be annoyingly precise and careful to keep the paint intact while you're working with the glue and heat. whereas if you paint after, you have nothing to worry about. on top of that, sometimes there can be minor errors with the fitment that can be covered up or minimized with the paintjob after the fact
Wish me luck I’ve got about 6 pairs I need to do this to, starting with the am1 urawa’s (deffo top 3) and I’m not gonna lie I’m 💩in’ myself! Anyone know of anyone that does this in the uk? Well done on the viotechs though!!! Look great! I have a piece of the viotech’s…on my masters lol
