This is very good, but I guess you can't use any of the motion study tools until you get actual parts in an assembly....right? I was thinking of some forces at different points.

Excellent video. I was wondering if you know how to make a "limit mate" with blocks. For example I am attempting to sketch the kinematics of an excavator and would like to limit the linear motion of the "hydraulic cylinder". As of now, I just have two lines, that are co-linear, but how can I define the amount of travel?

If you make horizontal line with 1 end attached to circle D 16, then it will move only 16 in vertical direction.

Or you can workout the math and use the instantaneous center to understand the rotating angles...

I EXed out of your video because you say "let's go ahead" too annoyingly frequently. I guess you think that saying that makes you sound like an intellectual. It doesn't.
