“Ok Peter you got this” Click right before the enemy hits you! *fails dodge* AAAAAAAAAAAEGGH *peter received mortal damage!* *you collapsed and lost the battle…*
Knights actually made me feel bad man, i just though "well i guess my action really do have consequences, am i this egoist?" And then... Well, greed, solitute fear and hatred came to answer me
for me he was fishy from the very start after fighting cruel king so many times i think most of us realised that builderman was a master manipulator and the second i saw that orange hard hat i did NOT put up with his shit
You miss your brother You miss your mother You miss your family You miss your friends You miss your pets You miss your guardians You miss your neighbours You miss your teachers
@@RU-vid-user3636 yeah, we were. Our avatars and window flavors were red and blue respectively. We beat the chapter the day it came out on Hard mode, for all the bosses I was the cleric and he was our attacker. Hatred took three tries.
how it works is that it gains an attack boost proportional to the amount of damage it takes in one instance, if you hit it with a move that deals 5 damage, it'll get +5 attack boost, but it doesn't work with multi-hitting moves and will only increase for an individual hit like slingshot, it'll only get +1 attack boost despite the attack dealing more in total, it doesn't stack
@@BongBongFromLobotomy it does indeed have no cap, i saw my friend get destroyed after hitting it with 10 damage lol okay on second thought i think i misread that one mb
@@Mythesty the only downside is that you might eventually get corrupted by the voices, as the negative traits we fight are probably amplified with each sword we collect
It's interesting that all of Solitude's attacks WILL hit R&B if you summon them. I don't know if that's intentional, but it makes sense given you're what you're fighting. 🤔
It’s actually because it’s a group attack and since B&R can’t dodge, they just automatically take the damage in the first bit, I did some testing with bigfoot’s vine swing and sure enough if they defended it with 2 defense (that I gave them)
Honestly this chapter felt really personal to me, mainly with the Solitude, Fear and Hatred sections. (This is gonna be a pretty personal tangent so keep that in mind) Solitude/Isolation felt like it poked at the part of me that just wants to be left alone. Never really socializing and seeing the concept as merely a waste of breath which I could be using for anything else. Fear resonated a lot with my anxiety, and how it causes me to think in ways that, while not based in reality in the slightest, still has one key part that keeps it grounded and thus keeps my mind lingering on a possibility that just unrealistic. And then there’s Hatred/Wrath. The side which is continuously repressed and kept under lock and key, continuously on the verge of outright exploding if not kept in check. The thought that at any moment something could cause me to go over the edge and end up doing something I would regret scares me, because I’ve seen it nearly happen before. And if I don’t try and calm that venomous hatred, well… Let’s just say it would not exactly be a pretty sight to behold for anyone. (Alright that’s enough personal tangents for today)
@@Azyraasr 1:27 this part is a direct leitmotif like the one in may the heights collapse (which happens at 1:32, which is quite nearby as well, so it's almost intentional) do a little bit more research
@@Azyraasrpretty sure they were talking about 1:28 . it sounds pretty close to a part in May the Heights Fall. also, MtHF doesn’t have a breakcore beat similar to this
How is this from just the third chapter? This type of stuff is usually at the end of a game, and we still got like at least 4 more chapters to go… im hyped for what’s next.
it's actually 5 more chapters! chapter 8 has no sword associated with it I believe it was confirmed once you gather the final SFOTH sword in chapter 7 I'll result in us going to face the main antagonist/threat of the game in one final chapter, which should be chapter 8
That maze is the one I took the most tries on (3, instead of the 2 in Avarice and 1 in Fear), but it's the one with the most forgivingly simple gimmick. Instead of needing to strike at hands while navigating or going against your instincts, you just use cardinal directions. And honestly the simplicity fits Solitude.
How did we go from spooky scary skeleton, sending shivers down your spine....to fighting greed, isolation, fear, AND THEN BEATING THE EVERLIVING SHIT OUTTA HATRED???
@@lollovecWhat do you mean it took you 30 minutes to go from beating the sad blue eye, running through the purple tree's funny forest, and getting to the vein highway of the red one?
did you know? Solitude's theme being breakcore is a nod to the fact that people who unironically listen to breakcore and enjoy it usually never leave their house's basement
how does actual depression have such a good song when i encountered this guy i didnt even wanna fight, the entire setting of this fight is so cool like even tthe eyes follow you when u move truly a blocktale
Note: This message is LONG. If you care to read through it, go ahead. If you want to see how I’ve felt from this chapter, then press read more. This chapter was deep. I would type this on the hatred ost section, but i already put something there, and this one fits the most, too. I feel like putting something deep this time, as everything else was either non-serious or serious with a funny tone. Weeks before demo 3 released, I honestly felt these emotions, besides greed. I felt isolated from everyone, and felt paranoia all around me, but fear wasn't helping me. I've also felt hatred all the time. I managed to tone down these fears, but not enough to the point they're still here, bottled up when I don't realize it. I've come across some motivating videos by accident when looking throughout the internet. These told me how to imagine defeating them, but not in person. Then, blocktales comes along and makes me fight them myself. I could be playing other games that do things like this, like omori, but i've already played them, or I just don't have the money for them. But this does a great job at helping me fight my emotions in a short way. When I was fighting hatred, I actually felt anger fighting him from his annoying attacks, but then I realized it's what it wants. It was me to feel pain; anger, so I had to fight it's completely unfair attacks (at the time they were unfair) without feeling anger, and so I did. I feel these emotions way less than before, honestly. Fear feels like it's working with me, isolation feels so distant, and hatred occasionally occurs, but not for long. If you're still reading this by any chance, thank you. This chapter honestly mean't a lot to me. Unlike other games where it takes a lot of time to face my emotions and overcome them, or just have it not happen at all, this shows what they mean and how they can hurt you. Isolation was the emotion that i've felt the most, and it feels legit. You have the background staring at you, but it's not anything. It's you looking at yourself, you being alone. As I said, if you read to the end, thank you, and if you skipped to the end, it's okay. Anyways, it’s time to head out for more important things. You probably have something to do, too.
Greed: you have 999 tix Solitude: you fight bosses alone Fear: you scared to fight bosses because too strong Hatred: you angry because the bossss kill you alot
Ah yes, these are my favorite lofi beats to break it down to. (No, actually, this is probably the strongest of the soul themes for this chapter I love it.)
its crazy that it started as "OoOoOoOo spooky ghost in spooky mansion and scary scary thingies" to just self relfection and just some roller coster of emotions fighting our bad thoughts inside our mind this silly block game is something else man...
