Solitude, Silence & the Contemplative Life (2022) 

Each month in the Order of the Common Life, our members reflect together on a particular commitment within our rule of life. In March 2022, we considered God's invitations for us around our commitment to silence, solitude and the contemplative life. And we invite you to reflect on what God might be inviting you to lean into today.
• What’s your experience of sitting before God in your “belovedness”? In what ways might this be a stretch for you? Where can you notice resistance or willingness to practice this?
• How do you experience your distractions? How do you respond to them? What do you notice about how they affect your peace?
• What feels “in the way” of silence, solitude and the contemplative in your life?
Then, find some community-particularly some spiritual friendships you can be cultivating-to share with and invite into your discernment around what you're noticing.
