Bruce, it has to be said that you have a special talent. To be able to eloquently describe your experiences for 28 minutes lucidly, without notes, without stumbling, avoiding repetition and evoking the emotions you felt at the time is quite remarkable. A fascinating video :)
Thanks Chris, it really was a very enlightening experience and very liberating. My next video is an interview with phil a now ex heroine addict who healed himself with iboga and Ayahusaca. Very interesting
I have a kambo and bufo ceremony coming up in 3 days. I'm terrified but also very excited. I carry a lot of baggage and pain that I'm seeking to shed. I have a bit of a drinking problem as a result. The last few years have been deeply traumatic for me. Toronto where I live had one of the longest pandemic lockdowns on earth. I developed some bad habits and severe depression during that time which still effects me. I'm hoping to move on from the past and finally look to the future. Great video, very inspiring. Wish me luck!
Such an articulate expression of your journey! you seem like such genuine soul. Thanks for sharing this. I'm looking forward to having my own ayahuasca experience in the future!
I've been doing research on our trip to Iquitos Peru for the retreat. You have been a wonderful source of information for this journey. Thank you so much for sharing.
I am about to go on my very first ayahuasca ceremony, thank you from the bottom of my heart for this candid and sincere soliloquy, it’s very helpful! God luck with your journey, and, don’t forget, boys can and should cry. ❤❤❤
Wow ... thank you for sharing your experiences here. Not sure I'll ever do it but who knows. I have been on a spiritual journey of awakening to the deeper understanding of "who" and why I am here for some years now and some of your experiences/revelations I can relate to and can see why doing what you did can help kick start or accelerate the awakening journey. I loved hearing your insights and the healing you experienced. Amazing and such a blessing 🙏💚
I totally feel you brother! Thank you so much for sharing your story. Allthough I’ve been down this road a few times before, this is still a great reminder. Lot’s of love and I wish you and your family all the best! 🙏🏼💛
Thanks, bruce. I'm about a week out from my plant medicine retreat. Feels like the last 2 months of wildly self-destructive behavior have guided me to this retreat, to heal and find answers. Found your video very introspective and honest. I admire your bravery in both taking part in the experience and speaking about it in a public manner. Sending good vibes your way!!
@@OffGridBruce The universe unfolds in mysterious ways, your wife annie was one of the helpers on the retreat. Her comforting voice singing along to nessi gomes was a huge comfort in my first ayahuasca experience😊
Bruce - thank you 🙏 Thank you for sharing this intimate experience. I feel the infinite realms you passed through without you having to put words to them - I can see it in your face, hear it in the tone of your voice. I was deeply moved by your truth. The shift is palpable. Felt this in Annie’s message also. Honouring your journey, your light, the beauty that we all are. So much love to you all xxx
We’re continuing to binge watch your older content. Thank you for taking the time to openly document such a personal and I imagine, ‘raw’ experience. I have been interested in doing a plant medicine journey myself and this candid video was really informative. I’m intrigued has the impact of this retreat lasted still, a couple years on?
Thank you for sharing your journey with these medicines. I am about to do kambo & bufo. I feel grateful for all that you shared. I look forward to doing ayahuasca as well down the road. I'm in Canada. I bought a van last year. Renting a room. Plan to travel again. I admire your bravery with you & your family. 😊
What a fantastic, gripping vlog. Only just found your channel. Seems like we're following a similar path, were looking to move to Ireland. Total life change, would love to have any links to where you had your Ayahuasca experience, would be very liberating 👍👍
Thanks. The place I went to isn’t there anymore but the women who was there facilitator on my retreat still does it. I’m currently off Facebook and Instagram but if you send me a message there I can put you in touch
I am slowly but surely getting through your videos, this one popped up on my feed, this is very interesting, I have not heard of this before, I have a feeling my brother has though, I will be researching this now. I am very glad you had such a profound and positive experience, thankyou for sharing your journey.
Interesting that they do ayahuasca and bufo so close together. Others I have talked to about it seemed to think that after bufo there needs to be a 3 week wait or so before ayahuasca. I'm glad you had such a good experience.
Thanks. Since this experience I have listened to a lot of others experiences and almost all of them seem to say/do it differently. It definitely worked this way for me and has had a lasting life changing effect even now. To me it was perfect but I am no expert that’s for sure.
It is unsafe to do bufo/5-MeO-DMT soon after ayahuasca due to a risk of serotonin syndrome from combining 5meo with MAOIs contained within the ayahuasca vine, which can remain in the active body for many hours with no real way to know exactly how long. There has been at least one death attributed to combination of the two medicines in this order that I'm aware of. The reverse order--doing bufo/5meo first followed by ayahuasca a few hours later--is theoretically safe from a physiological standpoint since the body rapidly metabolizes 5meo. That said, whether it's beneficial or wise to combine these medicines so close together is another issue entirely, and you'll find very strong opinions for and against such practices. Also, worth noting that it is unsafe to do kambo after bufo/5meo from what I've been told by several facilitators who serve both medicines, but the reverse order is considered to be relatively safe for healthy individuals. I've done it the latter way with great results. However, as I alluded to already, these are both very intense experiences that can put stress on the heart, so proceed with caution.
This popped up totally randomly. But we know that's not entirely true never done Ayahuasca or dmt indulged in other ways and had some intense moments , tripping on absolutely nothing apart from the Sun that's happened 3Xs. Being scanned by white light 2Xs. Seeing things that are there but not in corporeal form. Synchronicity kicking in while hitching everything spoken turned up in one way or another. I feel your cleansing, starting over, had something akin after visiting partners mum who was volunteering in Africa w VSO. Came back lighter, cleansed of bs, and cd feel n see it. You try to hang on to it but it eventually fades and old imprints programmes and habits kick in. In my 60s now n becoming brittle THANK YOU for reminding me of medicines and ways back in 🙏
Hey, I’m going to my first retreat the 7th of March in drogheda. I paid my deposit today. Very nervous and excited too. I really enjoyed the video. Is there anyway I could get a hold of you and have a chat to ask some questions?
Hello ! Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been interested in ayahuasca for a long time and I would like to know where you went for the ceremony.
Hi, may I please have the contact information for the place that you went to for your journey? I am new to this and have only done one session of Ketamine - Mdma. It was a beautiful experience which is leading me to want to explore more avenues of self-growth and realization. Your video was very inspiring in that you explained the ups as well as the downs of the experience. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
Hi Craig, I’m so happy this video has reached you as this was the whole point in me making it! Have you got a way I can contact you directly? You can DM me on Instagram or Facebook @thenomadicals here is a link to a video of someone who supported me through my journey ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wcqDRX1CAHc.html
@@OffGridBruce No i mean to ask in kambo shamans makes small dots into the skin and we start to puke but in bufo toad ceremonies people smoke i hv seen on youtube. Pls guide me i wanna know more about this i cant find anything on internet about whether kambo and bufo toad ceremonies are same or different. Also the frogs are different in both ceremonies. In kambo, Phyllomedusa vaillantii frog is used but in bufo ceremony bufo frogs poison are used.. so they must be different i guess... pls explain... pls
There aren’t a lot of clinical studies right now but recently there have been some big steps forward in research treating depression etc using psilocybin, Ayahusaca and mdma. I can’t speak for the science but I can tell you it changed my life in a very positive way
@@OffGridBruce I'm not denying the potential in these treatments, just that clinical control studies offer the chance to order the different hallucinogens in rank order of effectiveness. We need that evidence so that we can offer the right molecule and correct dose to specific patients to improve different conditions. At the moment this area seems quite 'scatter gun' and unspecific. There clearly is something there in terms of healing mental trauma.
Lovely. You probably won't see this comment, but thanks so much for sharing , anyway. I've been wanting to try ayahuasca for the longest time, but at the same time I'm quite nervous about the idea. As silly as it sounds, the whole vomiting aspect is what puts me off the most! 😆. Substances such as these really do have the potential to change lives for the better. It's always fascinating- and inspiring- to hear about people's various experiences with them.
No worries. I know the feeling. I have actually never been sick meanwhile everyone else around me was sick and it made me a bit anxious but everyone there had a positive experience. It still has a profound effect on my today
