If I'm not mistaken that sounded like the Gully Rosters playing @ 3:17 "the number one band in the Abaco's". Yes, it is nice to enjoy the serenity of nature; but a must for a boat playlist if you've been to Green Turtle Cay, Abaco and listen to them live. Yes, another bonus about Sandy Cay, is you'll get service - Yikes I guess this little gem of a cay is out the bag. lol Although did you notice at the west point of the island, in the tree line all the makeshift benches? They bring small groups from West End & clean, prep fresh conch then feed to guest. That's why you see the driftwood decorated with all conch shells. Enjoy & careful with knifes Capt. ⚓🏴☠⚓
Love your videos, thank you. I used to go lobstering @ Sandy Cay 40 yrs. ago, great place! We used to stay in Lucaya @ a dump of a motel, long before there were any casinos. Cooking lobsters on a hibachi grill on the pool deck, made a lot of friends. "104 miles to nearest USA hospital"????? Sandy Cay is only 55 miles to Jupiter Inlet.
My bad 70 miles to Jupiter, I was thinking of my hospital lol, and wat area did you lobster by sandy cay cap. Because I don't know here ware to get lobsters
@@OutOnTheReef On the west side, towards Florida. 10 to 15 foot of water. Not reef but hard bottom w/holes. We would tow behind the boat and look for antennas. Found a car hood on blocks that someone put out there 1 time. Must have been 50 bugs under there, what fun. Ahhh the good ol' days. Just found your channel and been binge watching. Love it!
@erikmuser7915 Wow, captain.Thank you and i'm thinking of going back there soon And you must have some great stories Forty years ago And thank you for the info I will try it one day And thanks for watching my channel. And no worries. I will bring you here in this area through my videos.👍👍🛥⚓️
Capt, if anyone could rig up a filet knife holder on that cleaning tray, it is you. That was a close call. Also, two words I never want to hear while at sea….”last Corona”.
Hey captain what beautiful and great scenery to sleep by. The bread you might want to think that eating that moldy bread. Bread should be put in your refrigerator. When you see the mold spores they have a next-work all through the bread and can get you sicker or depending upon the strain of the mold, even death. Just be careful Great job thank you for sharing Navigate safely
Very true cap. I should have placed it in the fridge 😒 my mistake and it was very small ,but i know people that in emergencies this tipe of breat has kept them alive, thanks for watching cap
Thank you, captain, and yes. It was a great menu and the store was really nice. I agree with you. I enjoyed it. And thank you for watching again captain you're awesome
Lol cap. Yes you are right and i also carry a Terminate to stop the bleeding and yes first aid is stock but needs more improvements. Thanks for watching captain
Great video, Cap. You had me at "Bacon" with the dinner menu for the Snapper. That was almost a big "Ouch". Running out of cold beer on a boat could cause a mutiny...Well done on those fillets, no batter and just the fish. I see some "readers" on the work bench while you are making coffee, is that a sign of the times, Cap? I'm 59 and use them. Smart idea on hard boiling the eggs in the electric skillet, we use the stove top for a few eggs or the pressure cooker for a large amount of eggs. Gotta add some pepper to the eggs with the salt.
Yes, captain, I am getting a little old. I guess LOL. And now I need reading glasses but I'm fighting it. I'm trying to hold strong and not using that much. And yes, that's a great idea about the eggs and peppers and salt. That will be a tasty meal. Thank you for sharing that. Captain, appreciate you watching and your comment too.👍👍😉⚓️🛳
@@OutOnTheReef My pleasure, Captain. I've been away for 2 weeks out in Reno/Tahoe so I am behind in your videos. Two weeks home and then back for another 2 weeks. Finally visited lake Tahoe and rented a boat, 22 foot Cobalt and I had a smile the entire time I was on the water at the helm. I had Lasik surgery 13 years ago that is wearing out so I might need to go back for an adjustment as I am wearing glasses all of the time for distance and up close. It happens with age. See you on the next video. JP
@jeffreypinder9398 wow cap that sounds like a awesome trip and sorry to hear about your Lasik , I also had it done about 20 years ago and still OK but I need reading glasses but they told me that when I got the surgery. But I can still see far away great, And I hope your surgery goes well so you can see far without glasses. Captain, it is a pain, especially on a humid environment. Thanks for watching navigate safe

Great Video Capt. Definitely looking forward to my next trip in 2024. Capt, since you have made these runs so many times, I’m planning on making a run down from Miami to Nassau and Exumas Bahamas in late May 19-31st. I wanted to ask you, what do you think of those dates? Or should I shoot for sometime in June. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Cap love your videos! Seems like your in the bahamas every weekend!! Hows that ac working out for you? How cold can it get the cabin in the night vs in the day? Also the blower you have setup, is it sucking or blowing and on what side, intake or exhaust?? Thanks!! keep it up and be safe! May want to look into starlink for your boat to keep you connected out there
hello cap and the AC is working great during the days is comfortable cooling but at night the temperatures drops very fast and it gets very coold cap, and the blower is sucking , look at my ac video installation cap. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v4t5vVWLZ7Y.htmlfeature=shared
Hi Capt.... as always, love the video! What is the longest you have had your boat stay in the water (8 days? 5 days?). I am wondering if you have ever gotten any marine-growth (early/young barnacles? sea moss?) on your hull. I'm curious how long a non-bottom-painted hull can go in salt water, without getting growth.
Hello cap. I have been 6 days and no growth on the haul, but Raingoat has mention 2 weeks and that sounds about right cap. Thanks for watching 👍 see you on the next video cap
Thank you! All of my boats for 40+ years have been bottom-painted (They were docked in the water full time. Now that I'm on a lift, I was wondering if I needed to keep painting it. I'd never be in the water longer than 2 weeks.@@j_rainsgoat3929
Hey Capt! Great video thank you. I want to take my boat there, would you mind sending me the numbers? I am not familiar with that Cay. We met in Bimini!
Hello cap. And it was great meeting you this cay is easy to find is the only cay that is about 4 miles away feom west end you wont miss it and be careful in low tide cap. Hope you can visit, navigate safe and see you out there cap.👍👍
Now you know what kinda cutting board you need. The one with the slots for your tools and knives. That would of really sucked man. Glad it didn't happen to you tho. Tight lines friend.
