Time for a solo trip to the cabin to do a few chores and to test out some solar panels for our EcoFlow Delta Max generator. We are going to try to switch to it instead of running that generator. Even though the generator is very fuel efficient and relatively quiet, going to a solar generator is the wave of the future. Zero noise is just so nice up there, you can hear the wind in the trees and wont scare off any wildlife
I brought up a 400 watt solar panel to test how it would do in charging up our Delta Max unit. The panel is not something that can stay outside 24x7, but we are looking to put up two permanent panels on the roof with about the same wattage. The sun didn't really cooperate too well, but I was able to charge it enough to run the TV, DVD, fan and a couple of lights for the evening. Need to test it out a little more during the next few trips.
Also put up a shelf for the blue coffee pot that Sr. bought many years back. I added some hat pins to it, the Air force flag, 1970 Vietnam service ribbon, and a MIA/POW pin. I will add some more over time. In that same spot I finished off the table with some gray trim work.
Went into town to stock up on wood for the upcoming trips and Deer Camp 2021 when the weather turns cold.
