When you said your meal prep was somewhat ambitious, my first thought was "hey, what else are you going to be doing out there in the middle of nowhere? You've got plenty of time to be an ambitious campfire cook!" I'm sure it was worth it. That meal looked totally awesome!!! Your time lapse of the stars was MUCH appreciated. I love seeing those. Your videos have quickly become one of my top favorites!
I just really started watching all this camping content, I am loving it. So well done. I have been binge watching your videos along with Lost Lakes and The Lazy Camper. You guys do such a great job of filming and storytelling. Thank you.
You apreciate all your hard work, your cooking, your tea even your simple Oats. Love that! Im waiting for No food no water challege, makes me excited everytime you catch your own food. God Bless
I love watching your videos. Thanks for not always advertising a bunch of stuff, and not begging for likes and subs. I get to camp vicariously through your videos. Keep it up, and stay golden, pony boy. -Andrew from Indiana
That meal looked incredible. I want to do some practice with my tarp shelters for situations like you had with the wind and rain. Some type of modified plow point could maybe give the protection while having a bit more of an open feel. Either way, great stuff as always.
hey xander youre doing great :d is there any chance in the future you will do another 3 days in the wilderness video where you fish and gather your own resources? that one was awesome :D
Hey man ever since you mentioned that you decided to become sober over a year ago now, it’s really inspired me to do the same. I love camping, and seeing you enjoy the little things out in the woods is definitely helping me get through this. Thanks brother from British Columbia 🙏🏼😁
I found myself laughing at this video more than the others lol, but there's always great editing and great cooking regardless. Looking forward to the next. 12:58
A couple of weeks ago one of your videos randomly showed up in my recommendations. Since then I've been kinda living vicariously through your videos. 30yrs ago I had my own adventures, but now that I'm older and disabled I'm no longer able to do things like this anymore, unfortunately. Thanks for sharing and reminding me how much fun it is to rough it in nature.
Another great adventure Xander! I really enjoy your videos, so well done and you really put in all the work (food prep, filming, sound editing - everything is top notch!) Thank you very much for sharing and inspiring. And the Salmon looks so delicious man! Have a wonderful day. Best wishes, Mario
You've made dozens of tasty looking meals but this one looked incredible! Geeze...you are outdoing yourself with these meals. Makes me want to do a camping trip. Minus the cold weather. And cutting all that firewood. And sleeping on the ground. And not having a tent. Guess I'm just in it for the food. Great video. 👍
I’ve become so addicted to these videos. As a mum of severely autistic twins, which will need my forever care, I will never get the chance to do this. But this takes me away just for a short while. I just pretend to be there !
What is the brand name of the pot you use for boiling water and where did you purchase it? I have been looking for that type of pot for a while now. Great work on the videos. You are inspiring to many outdoors people!
Because of my spring break, I have had a lot more spare time recently. I found this channel a couple days ago, and I love every bit of it! Xander mixes in a perfect amount of humor, scenery, and cooking! I think it's safe to say that I have been binge-watching plenty of your content. Keep up the good stuff!
Hey Xander been watching your videos for a bit now. Ive been trying to get out into the bush my self but I've been kind of intimidating by finding a good location. Any tips for newbies on where to go?
if youre in ontario use the crownland use policy atlas and cross reference it with google earth to find access points - it takes a minute to figure out everything but theres tutorials on youtube
I love your videos, you always crack me up and make me jealous of all the great meals you cook. I still giggle when I think of you pulling out the microwave in the video with the lights and battery pack generator.
Very inspiring are your vids, if I had all that on my doorstep I would be doing a similar thing albeit it not as good ! awesome hobby and well put together my friend, keep it up it's a breath of fresh air, no pun intended 🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Xander I love your content! I think it would be awesome if you did a beginners guide to camping where you go over essential gear, where to find camping spots, and other random tips. This is something I’d love to try but I’m not sure where to start.
Incredible video Xander, Absolutely loved that Timelapse of the night sky! Also I had such a nostalgia trip when you pulled out the Dino egg porridge, that stuff is gold.
Great video. Haven't seen that oven used for cooking before. Looks really convenient. Throw the veggies in the foil & oven and go on about your business. Got some good laughs, too. That was a lot of moose 💩. The night 🌃 sky time lapse was amazing 😍
You sir are now my favorite . Love your videos there always fun to watch . But this one just made my day with laughter. I never camp out alone before but because of your videos it’s now my favorite thing to due. Thank you 🙏
Being solo, I can only imagine the time and effort spent making these videos, gotta appreciate all the setup he had to do just to say "no..." in increasingly uncomfortable positions, that had me laughing. Thanks for another great video!
by far my favourite youtube channel. I try not to miss an upload and you've made me want to go portaging in the spring and summer. Thanks for your teachings and reccomendations, you rock
Xander plz reply have u ever faced danger animals or reptiles during solo camping because it's never easy camping in a forest and sleeping on the ground🥺🥺
I am a professional chef and I wouldn’t even think about doing dishes like this in your situation. You would be better off with MREs Or very simple dishes. Don’t try to be a chef just for RU-vid likes. It’s overrated.
Hi xander love u bro... you are amazing.. i want to ask you Do you ever feel any haunted activity during your solo camping ...?? 😉 reply...please.. God bless you .. keep making videosss
I just love watching your videos! I'd live to try camping like that but I just KNOW that with my luck I'd get mauled by a bear or chased by a moose, so yeah... :D
I love your videos. You are so funny.. when you tasted the food paused and saud "My God."😂😂also in the beginning when you were trying to settle where to sleep..😂😂 I cant wait to see what your cooking next. Thank you for sharing and explaining
Looks pretty good. Next time remove salmon after cooking it in the glaze.... reduce the maple soy glaze down with a tad bit of olive oil...boil it out to reduce it..then thicken it slightly with a dash of flour. Put salmon back in and coat it. It'll be thick and 300% better. The foilpack veggies looked amazing. I woulda added sliced sweet onion in there with a dash of garlic chili oil. Another great video Xander! Cheers...
Dude your videos are the best! Truly enjoy your antics ie finding the best spot for your sleeping mat. Hilarious! I am battling aggressive prostate cancer and the treatment has taken my energy so I can barely hike but am trying. Watching your videos takes me there...thank you! You make a difference. I know Missouri USA isn't as beautiful as your area but if you ever come through the middle of the US would enjoy a campfire with you. I pray all the blessings possible to come into your life. Thank you for all your efforts to bring is these videos! Enjoy each day! Troy
I am always down to my knees when I see this huuuuge amount of stars 😍😍I am living in Hannover, Germany. Even in the night it is too much light from the city here to see more than 5 or 6 stars😞I know that there are more, I just can't see them 😞so I love your timelaps all the time. Thx for it😍😘🤗and keep on cooking 😁it doesn't matter how long it takes to make an awesome meal. The luxury is to have the time to make it. So enjoy your luxury 😁😘👍
The reflector oven is awesome. So far I've cooked fresh bread, bannock (cinnamon rum raisin, and chocolate chip with strawberry jam), cinnamon buns, and nachos in mine.
Stumbled on your channel. Liking it as you are on Ontario. Not sure what areas you go to. However, spots look amazing. I've shared your link with my dad as he enjoys these types of videos. Love the meals you prepare.
gusto ko ung mga ginagawa mo masarap mag camping nakaka stress free masarap Ang simoy Ng hangin Ako sa province pag na pasyal Ako ganyang din ginagawa ko stay safe and keep it up what are u doing salute bro
Discovered your channel from watching Lost Lakes recent video. I’ve already watched a few of your videos and I’m looking forward to watching all past ones and your upcoming ones too. Great meal in this one. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
Haha I was reminded of a children's movie - Ice Age. One of the main characters named Sid exactly the same with looking for a place to stay xD Now I realized how old I am :D
I have binge watched all of your videos already and these last few are awesome you've added a touch of new comedy that I'm really loving please keep it up!!!! I stopped the video at 1:15 just to comment!
Xander! You going to the Outdoor adventure show in Mississauga April 30th? Me and a Pal are going and would love to see you there, Love you videos man, keep up the awesome work!
