Pour yourself a cuppa, get comfy and tune out while tuning in to some tranquil nature sounds as Anna hikes into Old Currango Homestead. This charming homestead is the oldest remaining building in Kosciuszko National Park. Panoramic vistas over the Brindabella Ranges and Currangorambla Plain make for an incredibly scenic location for a slow yet perfect evening of reading and cooking.

This is an absolutely wonderful experience. The landscape, the surrounding sounds, and overall the experience to connect more with nature is like a healing power that I have been looking for. As someone who got stuck too much in the city and lost kind an adventurous soul, I truly appreciate this. Thank you and wish you all the best :)

Been heading down those mountains for 40 years now, fishing and walking. It used to be that you got really excited if you saw a wild horse, some years never saw one. Not any more. As a side note what is the background track to this vid. The buzzing flies. Used to get a lot of bush flies and some March flies. Now it’s zillions of bush flies hordes of March flies and the big black horse flies. Lots of horse poop round to grow fly larvae I guess.

Thanks great quality vid and nice product placement ☺️ I probably would have done my cooking on the verandah and sat there like the pioneers would have done. Probably a running stream for fresh water some where nearby? I loved the time lapse and focus changes. Did you use a GoPro or something else, just that the GoPro would have been easier to carry. Audio was superb, well done 👍

A beautiful place only just starting to recover after 150 years of introduced grazing, but now being destroyed by an over abundance of feral horses. Sad.
@tomsear1
@tomsear1 Год назад
Feral horses aside, stock grazing only started approximately 1830 with handful of families, ended 1950. The SMA & whitefella fire management post 1949 more destructive than anything

Attractive video but why do so many RU-vid clips shot in Kosciuszko National Park show feral horses as though they are some natural, bucolic part of the landscape. They are an invasive species destroying the delicate alpine environment. Notice the banks of the creek that the woman crosses early in the video - degraded by feral horses. You can visit all manner of paddocks anywhere in the country to see horses. They don't belong in national parks and they are wrecking Kosciuszko.
