When you first start fishing you may cast a thousand times until you catch your first fish. But when you do (excuse the pun) you'll be hooked. And you'll get greater knowledge from that hook up and keep building. Its a patience game but if your patient you will reep the rewards. Good luck to you. And remember...Be patient and take your time. Don't rush life.
Nice one molly ,tip on fishing ,your reel handle should be on the other side if you right handed you hold your rod with you right hand and reel with your left,it’s easy to do the handle unscrews from one side to the other,,keep it up good stuff
Stunning views! Molly, you continue to create such beautiful content. Love the “I’m going to put that down to there are none in there” 😂. You continue to create crack’n travel vlogs. Cheers and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
A big thank you for sharing an other fantastic episode for the second one for the week. I’m so jealous I so wish I could spend a life like yours out there exploring nature every single day wow that would be amazing to do that. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas I guess you are spending it with family and so looking forward to seeing your next adventure take care Molly 😊❤
Thank You, for the memories. I came to Australia to build the "Towers" ski lift at Falls Creek. Absolutely stunning country with the string of huts in the high country for people to stay in. Saw a Lyre bird first day, and loved every minute, came home to Canada with a longing to go back. Safe travels to you.
If you want I will send you some trout lures. I look for where feeder stream enters lake and put a line out with weight about 4 feet back. little floater near hook . Use a fly and egg or some sort of bait on trout hook. Toss that in and just let it sit for awhile. Big 'ol trout comes along and gobbles that up. If you want do casting, change color of lure every now and then, as trout look for different colors different times of day. Aye, is another Awesome Adventure in Gods country. Thanks for sharing. And have a Merry Christmas. Cheers TJ
Good effort fishing, It is much harder catching fish in freshwater compared to saltwater but definitely more rewarding. Keep at it, you'll get one eventually!
Fantastic video, Molly! I wish I was down at that lake right now but not with a fishing rod, just sailing or paddling on it. Such a great looking area! I've visited Falls Creek once but it was during the snow season.
Nice vid Molly! So peaceful in Falls Creek. Stir fry looked yummy. Great to have your set up now with a fridge and all the extras! Lights were cool too! One tip for fishing the lakes, pick up some nightcrawlers (worms) for bait. You can keep a small container in your fridge. A little messy, but will help get some bites to get you started. 🎣 Until the next vid, stay safe!
Great Video Molly, Merry Christmas, I'm not sure how far behind (to real time) you are with the videos, I hope you have great plans to celebrate with friends and family, thanks for sharing
You're so right Molly, that is beautiful up there. You'll soon learn how to read the water and likely fish hangouts. Maybe use barb-less hooks which are easier on the fish but you may lose a couple of fish...... yes, you will start catching them...... if they're in there😅. Happiest of holidays Molly🫶🫶😎
Keep making ya vids darl there wicked I just bought a 97 Coaster all decked out with toilet and shower and taking off this week from South Gippsland heading north Noosa and where ever else i end up Take care Molly..
Great vid Miss Molly . You look a natural with a ROD in your hands. Can't wait till you hook up on a fish. Don't forget to always carry a pair of long nose pliers and sum lip grips at all times . Makes it so much easier to deal with the fish and helps to keep the hooks away from Your fingers..😢 see you next week 😊Merry Christmas to you 😘
Beaordiful, I’m in hot and humid and overcast qld, it’s ok. Fishing is a good reason to sit back in the deckchair for the arvo, with hooks bait and a holder, put a bell on the tip for night time. Yeah you have a great cast and retrieve action Molly your a natural, just need a bit of work on the catching action 😆.. every time you pass a fishing shop, stop and buy more bits, lures, hooks etc, ask for some local advice. Firewood collection effort was good this time. 😁
Hi Molly, did you drive through Corryong on your way to Kosciusko? That's where I live, it would have been awesome to meet you on your way through, you are inspiring ❤ Love you
Good work with the fishing, try tin corn for carp in rivers ect and cheese can work for cod , it attracts the shrimp too the cheese then the cod smash the shrimp, I think that’s the theory, stick a bell on it and go about camp life and when it rattles your on 🎣
Good luck with your fishing, a lot of times it's the bait, gotta figure what your fishing for and use specific bait, trout and finicky and won't bite if they see the line, so you use very small line, like 2 lb.
The fish that are hungry are close to the shore, looking for small fish, shrimps and dragonfly nymphs etc, so I cast left and right rather than out into deep water, and hold my rod well out and retrieve laterally.
Best Fishing Bait Molly. Flour water make dough. Can of cheap mussles. Dice, mould into dough mix. Don't need much. Mould around hook... You'll get a bite every time. Sea or River. Save oil for pan to cook your catch...
Watched you from the start. Where you went was pretty well known but for a few free camping apps. So what are you using to plan your trip now?? You visiting some amazing places yet I would never think to go that way. cheers and great vids as always.
Your rod is set up for a lefty. you cast with your right hand, so switch the reel handle to the left side of the reel. Cast with your right hand and reel with the left. Also your lure could use Berkley Powerbait for better results with trout.
As usual a fantastic video but I do need to ask a question how safe do you feel standing on that ladder getting to your roof top tent. Where before you had the tailgate of the 4wd to stand on and set up the tent before you put the ladder up the climb into the tent? Maybe Boss Aluminum can design a sloped ladder as I think they would feel terrible if you fell off.
What a GREAT spot and you have the whole place to yourself. Curious, why are there so many dead trees in this area of mountains? Wildfire or insect/fungal? Have fun fishing, definitely relaxing. Cheers Molly!
Hi. We had massive wild fires go through the area 3 years ago (maybe 4 years? Time flies). The fires were devastating to say the least but the good news is that the bush looks absolutely beautiful again now. Full of wild life, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, wombats, birds etc. Molly is currently right near where I live. 😊
