Great start, the music is more suited to your videos 😉 that's why I like watching them. Traveling in Indonesia you get used to coffee grounds in your coffee. And also a good helping of Condensed Milk, stir it up and let it settle........good stuff. After watching for awhile I had to go and get my rain gear......your videos make us feel like we are there!!! Another great video and keep it up.......that's what she said!
Thanks! I try to spend some time picking out the right music. Or at least what I think goes well with whatever video I'm making. I've never been to Indonesia or had their coffee but it sounds like it might be right up my alley haha Thanks for watching and.... that IS what she said!
Thanks! No way I could do that level of editing every week. But once in a while, time allowing, it's fun to put a little elbow grease into the editing.
Kudos to your for going out in the rain anyway just to show that it can be done. I'm in snohomish county and have been bunkered down waiting for the "parade of storms" to end. I did go out yesterday in the one day of sunshine to try and bag a grouse but they were having none of it. Think it might be worth going over the mountains for a weekend trip just get out of this car wash.
Thanks! I was born and raised here in WA. The rain is in my DNA haha Well the parade of storms may be over but now there's snow on the ground. Hopefully the water will clear up at least and allow for fishing again. The weather has made grouse hunting tough as well. A trip to eastern WA might be just what the doctor ordered :)
"Shut the front door mother trucker" lol. Yes I live near Buckley WA. It has been a pretty wet one down here. Clear today with some snow in the foothills overnight. Awesome videos brother. Keep it up!
I had this buddy back in the day that always used to say that. It has just kinda stuck around in my vocabulary! Seems like all this crazy weather might be finally clearing up. I was out in the mountains today. There was snow about 1500 ft. I was actually looking at a couple lakes down your way for an upcoming camping fishing trip. I always like finding new spots, especially if the lakes are "year round" fishing lakes. Gets tough between October and April when the main fishing season is closed and the salmon run is over and/or flooded out. Thanks for watching!
Hello Washington!!! 😂 Soaked to the bone, been there so many times. I admire your drive and passion for it buddy! Most would just say... nope! Too bad "rain gear" can't do it's one job.... That mushroom sandwich looked pretty damn good. The chunky coffee too. And I also eat dirt, eating dirt is the coolest! 😅Serious question- what's this one beer crap? Haha Thanks for bringing us along. As always, looking forward to the next one. 🍻
If ya live in Washington and like camping, there's no other option. Gotta camp in the rain. That rain, however, was exceptional! There was no amount of rain gear that coulda kept me dry haha Dirt IS the coolest! I eat a lot of stuff outdoors so I'm just assuming I eat a lot of dirt and sticks.. and who knows what else. In my defense, it was a really big beer! and strong too! Thanks for watching :)
I live on the wet side of Washington as we call it. My driveway is a lake and the rivers around here are getting pretty high and muddy. Appreceate the content, you put in some cold wet hours on this one.
Yeah my driveway was a lake there for a bit too. There was water over our road and a Mercedes stuck in the middle of it for like a week haha Hopefully that crazy weather is over and we can back to normal. Definitely cold and wet. Thanks for watching!
That was an awesome intro. Really well done. That stew and Irish Death looked incredible as well. Camping in the rain is the worst because you have to go home and set everything up again and dry it out like you said. I’m in South King county and we’re getting soaked as well. Anyway you did a really good job on this video in tough conditions.
Thanks! Sometimes I gotta bust out my artsy fartsy side haha You are 100% correct! The worst part is getting home and setting everything back up. Well hopefully all this gnarly weather is coming to an end. The lakes might clear up soon but I was really hoping to get into some salmon this season. Guess it'll have to be next year. Maybe some winter steelhead! Thanks again
To many times I've spent hunting fishing or camping in the rain it can be miserable but this is very enjoyable to watch can't wait for spring to get back into my spots
I would say go to the Hoh but it is closed due to flooding. A few years ago it had over 250 in. of rain. Some of my best fishing was in the rain. It would be great to see you take a trip over there.
I actually have a steelhead fishing vid over there from last winter. But I didn't catch anything! Beautiful area and fun trip. I'll definitely be back at some point :)
I've been enjoying your vids and just subscribed. I'm in Mason Co. and can relate. BTW, that was a cutthroat trout - sorry, I'm an old, retired fish biologist and couldn't help myself.
Yea I live in marysville and work in Granite. We have been soaked for ages now lol. I work for a fishing bait company, so it really sucks everything has been blown out lol
Yeah the rivers have been completely unfishable for like a month! I was really hoping to get into some salmon too. Dang it. So you must get the hook up on fishing bait then!!? Nice!
I don't think I have any videos where I specifically talk about identifying or finding specific mushrooms. I just kinda talk about whatever shrooms I find in whatever video I'm doin. Mushroom hunting is awesome for sure and free. I think being color blind would hinder you a bit... BUT I don't think it would stop you. There's lots of other identifying factors to mushrooms other than color. Mushroom season is kinda wrapping up now that's it's getting so cold out but who knows, maybe next season I'll make some mushroom identification videos ;)
Do you have any more late season grouse hunting planned? Loved those videos. Hoping to get out a couple more times myself if it stops dumping rain in the S valley
Thanks! Yeah I'll definitely be out grouse hunting some more! Season is open, if I remember correctly, until January 15th so we got about 5 more weeks. I spend a lot of time in the "S Valley" if we're talking about the same S Valley haha
I’m from the Coast of Southern Oregon. The weather has been relatively mild this year. We only got one major storm in November normally we would have had quite a few by now.
How dare you! I said to brown the meat.. I was just too lazy to do it myself haha Yeah now there's snow on the ground.. Hopefully it doesn't all melt and flood again
