I hope it works well I looked it up. My wife is the only person I know that gets car sick. We literally cant ever drive out. He said it was better than dramamine and good for his sea sickness so cars should be a piece of cake. Dramamine is her goto. But I checked and it said cars are on the list. Geez I feel confident in fisherman's trial and error with different products. Not only a great fisherman and a great channel but if this guy is out here giving better suggestions than her doctors where this literally has touched my life more than the love of fishing but the love of my life I thank you fisherman's life more than I can ever say. I cant wait til it comes and I hope it works better for her than dramamine. And I do understand everyone is different so it may not work for her but I hope it beats the heck out of that dramamine. Thank you. Her doctors told her to get dramamine like that's what we been using smh
A neat trick I’ve figured out using squid in snares is using bait wrap. It’s a thin elastic line and if you fold up a few pieces of squid then wrap them together a bunch, it fits perfectly in the traps and the crabs can’t pull it out easily. Most of the time one wrapped squid ball lasts all day.
@@dcurly5146 I've never actually caught a slender crab that met the 4" minimum, and if it was only 4", I wouldn't keep it anyway because it barely has any meat. I've seen hundreds of them already and all of them were too small.
I don’t want to say my body is failing me. But it is I love your videos. I live through your videos. Keep it up sir. Sad. I’m only a few years older than you I think.
Glad to see the crabbing videos back! Last season we absolutely crushed it with snares just off ocean beach on our boat. We were doing like 3 minute pulls getting multiple 6+ inchers on at a time anchored in about 50ish feet of water. I think the plan for now is to get out there Sunday, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Right on Matt. I just sold my 26' Skipjack and miss going out. I got too old and the boat got too big for me. I have no Crew to help me out so had no choice. I need to get out there so Im thinking gonna get a boat something like yours, maybe a little bigger so I can get out to Catalina Island. I enjoy watching your videos.
I gave up fishing after having 2 sons who did not like fishing. I was an addict but seasickness kept me closed to shore and often getting skunked helped withdrawal pains. I love watching your videos and might get out there again. Thank you 😊
Matt, tie a fender onto the bitter end of your anchor rode. If you’ve tied a proper cleat hitch that can be released under load, the fender will allow you to go back and recover your anchor. That shit gets expensive.
I am a newbie to your channel and 7:20 into this video, I am impressed with the guts it took just to attempt this feat! I already cannot wait to see the outcome. I will check out your other videos, but I love crabbing videos the most. 🙂
rig your anchor line with a quick release knot and a buoy in case you need to dip out quick, you can always come back for it. love the content, much love from tx
Those are brown smooth hound sharks lol I caught a small leopard shark snaring off the beach. 20:43 Also the purple legged crabs that look similar to baby dungeness crabs are called slender crab aka graceful crab
Those sharks you threw back make great Tacos de Tiburon. Cut the head and tail off immediately to bleed and gut it. Put on ice and you'll love the white flakey meat when you get home. Chuck
Matt, you are one crazy maniac. I love that you go out not having much, if any, experience but you still succeed. Started watching your videos months ago now and I'm addicted. Those shark look like spiny dogfish. You gotta be careful with those shark as they have a spike just in front of their adipose fin that can cause pretty serious damage. I was having a small heart attack while you were handling it!! Keep on fishing my friend. My wife and I love watching you
So the reason you don’t need the tag buoy on hoops is because they are not left overnight and not used in deep waters. On our rec pots is to know who is being tangled to wales and turtles ours or commercial.
I'm talking from the point of anchoring sailboats and I've slept so many nights at anchor. But you should "set" the achor after you have thrown it out. It means that you should motor backwards until the boat stands still. They way you did it will in most cases work, but these anchors are designes to work in a very specific way
Love you videos bro makes me feel like im watching survivor man with les and he would carry all his cameras, i cant imagine how hard it is to talk to a camera with genuine energy but you do it perfect
Please let me visit you if when i visit america, dude you have so much fun fishing and getting sea sick with you would be, all things considered... awesome!:)
I’ve been watching your videos and been loving them for 4 years. I’m so glad for you to apologize about being disrespectful, a lot of people would never acknowledge that. One up on ya Matss
Good information about anchoring in the ocean. I couldn't believe that you snared a shark. Being on the water is a win and caught 🦀🦀 is also a win. So it was a win - windy for you Matts. If you crabed with a friend and another win for you. 😜. Very interesting to see you snare from a boat.
Those sharks look like spiny dogfish. We have them up here in WA. As for the crabs with purple legs. I believe those are pacific graceful. Have a bunch of them up here as well and they don't get very big.
Those Sharks Your catching are called Spiny Dogfish Green eyes and they have sharp horn on there backs do "NOT" eat them they are bad if you ever cut into one you will see there meat is very white like mayonnaise nasty you can mistake them for Soup fin sharks winch makes the very good shark fin soup that you cant have here in the states and thy other good eating like the seven gill sharks too and the leopard sharks but why leopards there beautiful but do what you will to survive. the dogfish hang out in shallow waters but you can found them deep waters too so if do catch them again for whatever kind of fishing your doing cut them up for chum or release them awesome stuff Matt ! Hammerdown bro.
Good mornin fishermans life ur video is always awesome i couldnt belived how u trip fishing alone with 8 rods n crab nets is really amazing..life is very precious stay safe my friend god bless u✌😊👍👍👍🤙🎣🎣🐋🐬🐠🔥🔥🔥❤
I recall you mentioning using the scopolamine patches in another video. Been watching for a while don't know if I had ever commented before. For what it's worth you had said that those patches were like 40$ a piece or pretty expensive. You should probably keep with what works for you but there is an alternative. Brugmansia or Angels Trumpet is a perennial semi-hardwood shrub that is tree like in appearance it is most easily recognizable by it large cone shaped flowers often pink or yellow that hang downward and emit a pleasant smell around early evening. I cannot advise how much or what part of the plant to consume nor, how to consume. The Brugmansia contains Scopolamine.
I live in Tasmania Australia and the small grey shark you caught look very similar to a shark that is very commonly eaten here called a gummy shark, if you get another one you should keep it they are good to eat just need to be bleed
