Want to watch this one since I will be going on the Carnival Magic next year. Rescheduled that trip from this year shortly after my wife passed away. Did go on two trips on the Carnival Dream, b2b. The Magic is a Dream class ship. Get complimentary water. Not a big drinker. Just a glass of wine, sometimes two at dinner. Yes, used the Carnival Hub App. in the past to look up diner choices. My wife loved to know what was on the menu before she went to the dining room. That early like to practice my throws at the craps table. Then get ready for the safety drill. Walking the stairs is good. Get some exercise. My wife used a walker. She used the elevator. Muster Drill is different now. If you take the stairs stick to it. Elevators may have long wait times. Tomato and Avocado is good. Seems like you are having a good cruise.

Awesome notes! Yes I agree about the stairs vs the elevators. I’m trying to do stairs as much as possible. If you loved the Dream, you will love the Magic. I’m so sorry to hear that your wife has passed on. It’s good to hear that you are continuing to cruise and I pray you are having fond memories and great times. 😊

I’m so glad I found this video!! I just started cruising last year and fell in love with it & I’m gluten free as well due to celiac disease! Had a great experience with all the food on carnival!

Wow what a great first episode! Can’t wait for the next! Yet I have questions 🤔 ... 👉🏽 How much was the Pre ordered water? 👉🏽 How can I get a personal card to stick in my room and turn onto the lights? 👉🏽 How was the clue game? Congrats and kudos to you first king the stairs look. I’d rather just go to the gym daily. I’m not about that stair life unless I’m close to everything 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂

As always, thanks so much for the feedback I was nervous on how this first one turned out. Now, don't get ahead on congratulating me on those stairs...lol. Stay tuned on that one...lol. The 12-pack water was $4.95 if I recall correctly. and the personal card is actually just a business card. I had business cards made at Vistaprint. And I was too tired to talk about Clue that night. I just wanted to go straight to bed...lol. But I gave my review the next morning and it will be in the next episode. Basically, I don't think it's bad but I wasn't interested enough to continue. There was nothing wrong with the game and it seems like it would be awesome for someone that is into mystery games. Just not my thing.

@@SIGCruiser Lol to the stairway stories LOL... Thanks for the answers. I didn't realize pre-ordering water wasn't that expensive. I will look into that on my next cruise. That's a cool business card. I use VP for mine as well; making sure I didn't miss anything LOL. As far as CLUE, I do like mystery games but not sure how I would feel to do it LIVE on a cruise instead of a regular board game. However, I'm up for new things to do so I appreciate the introduction. Looking forward to EP 2 😊

@@MsQueenRo I'm not sure the price of water is the same on all cruise lines so you may want to check. For some reason, I'm remembering either RC or NCL being much higher. Not sure though.

I enjoyed watching this. I was on the Magic some years ago with my family so it was fun seeing the interior of the ship to bring back memories. Thanks for the tip on that room you booked with the secret deck - I've never even considered rooms in those kinds of locations but I will definitely start looking at them now. I just recently booked my first solo cruise on NCL and am looking forward to it. Maybe I'll do a vlog too. :) Thanks!

Hi Tee Pee! Yes, embarkation day was a full day. I was surprised I stayed up until 9pm! 😂 Yes, lots of space in that type of cabin. I would definitely recommend it. Carnival always tries to accommodate in the right way. Free drinks are always a good replacement for ANYTHING! 😂 Thanks so much for watching!!!

This video is SO helpful. I am gluten free myself. When you go to speciality dining restaurant, do you just notify them when you arrive that you're GF? Or do you contact the restaurant ahead of time?

Hello Tiffany! Carnival is absolutely the best with gluten free. That's one reason it's been hard for me to try other ships...lol. But yes, if I pay for specialty dining online before the cruise, they ask about any special needs such as food allergies. On this ship, if I eat in the main dining room, at the end of my meal they bring the next day's menu to me to pre-order. On the first night of a cruise, I usually go to the steakhouse because I can't pre-order a meal in the main dining room. Although, you can still let them know of your gluten issue and they will help you order safely, most likely steak or grilled chicken or something. Hope that helps! I loved your vlog. I want to do a solo cruise. Was it awkward eating alone? And did you request to be seated by yourself and not with a group of other solo cruisers?

When things get back to normal, you should definitely try a solo cruise. 😍Yes you can choose to eat with others, or alone. I actually do both, it just depends on what I'm feeling at the time. I do sharing tables mostly for breakfast or brunch because at dinner, I'm not "full meal hungry" and I usually just get something quick. On this cruise, I ate alone (by choice), with others I met, and with strangers. Also, even when you request to be seated by yourself, you are so close to the people around you that it's like you're sitting at the same table. I just thought....the only time you may get that dining alone feeling is at a specialty restaurant because they're spaced out more. Even then, to me, it's not an awkward feeling. But also, I have no problem dining alone in a restaurant at home either. 😊 Thanks so much for watching!
