I made a spontaneous decision the night prior to book a camp spot overlooking Sugar Loaf Mountain and embark on my first solo camp trip. I enjoyed beautiful scenery of the lake and mountain, a wonderful sunset, a refreshing swim in the lake and a campfire that night. The next morning I kayaked to Sugar Loaf Mountain and hiked the trails overlooking the lake. After hiking, I enjoyed a relaxing lunch in my kayak on the water as the wind guided me back to shore.

Oh Ms September 2020 Kelly, if only you could see then the September 2021 you!! You would NOT believe your eyeballs how much you have grown in such a short period of time due to the new adventures, the experiences, the lessons in Faith in God, and the increase in self confidence in yourself in a massive fast moving year! We won’t go into the medical matters, but by the time you’re 60 those won’t matter. No telling what the Ms September 2025 Kelly would have to talk with you about-if that were possible!! Life! It’s sure a HUGE comfort to know “God has us!” in every aspect of our life when we put our Faith in Him! Keep movie little girl!

Beautiful scenery! The lake, mountains and sunset are nice too. Loving the strong independence and the way you conquer and crush any fear of a solo trip. Great filming of all aspects of the trip and lunch on the boat was an excellent idea. This Nashville guy loves your adventures

Deer might walk over on the ICE in the winter.. and they stay for the summer 😎 Elk and deer do that sometimes here in Sweden! Also, we have some fantastic nature to hike here.. come over and check it out! ( After your AT hike of course, looking forward to that 😋)

LRAFB had a C-130 low-level route that took us right over Greer’s Ferry; we would literally fly circles around Sugarloaf Mtn for time control! I’ve never seen it from the ground. Awesome video!

I'm a new subscriber. I really like this channel. I live in okc and I've never been to sugarloaf mountain and I want to go sometime. I think that is the tallest mountain in oklahoma. I watched one of your videos on the buffalo national river and it was very good. I'm glad I'm subscribed to this channel. It's very good 🙂👍

Looks like a fun trip, some friends and I do a few trips a year on the local rivers. Will be doing the Ocmulgee this year. I have been trying to get up the stones to do a solo overnighter on a sandbar somewhere. Good job for knocking that one off the list. I hope to this year as well. Really glad to see more folks getting out and about. Just keep an eye out, can't ever be to safe.

beautiful view of the lake, that's a awesome camping site i will have to do that camp site. sandwiches isn't bad but you should get a stove or even a iso burner, i will have to say it's such a game changer i used to eat easy cold meals till i started getting into stoves from wood to gas and eating hot food sure makes a big difference on the camping life. cool trip!

I lived in shirley for a short time overlooking Sugarloaf and the lake I miss Arkansas Now have a place on the Nottely River in Nc close to Blue Ridge Ga lots of trails and water

Be careful with the armadillos. They are both def and blind and are easy to surprise. They are mean as hell and are one of the few animals that actually carry leprosy. No wants that.
