VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Lindsey started her solo traveling in an Airstream and later moved into her current tiny home, an Overland Explorer. This girl and her drive for adventure pair well with the rugged rig she calls home. The interior of her all-terrain beast is maximized with good use of space and a creative layout.
The kitchen is stocked with a microwave, booth seating, and a map of the USA that covers the entire sidewall. Modern technology provides her with a diesel cooktop that doubles as a furnace when the lid is down and a Cruis and Comfort 12 volt air conditioner that can run all day off her 1000 watt Solar panels. The bathroom is sufficient, including a hot shower that, even at 5'10", Lindsey is comfortable standing in. Her bed stretches full length across the front of the camper and allows for more organization due to angled cubbies lining the edge of her room. With hidden ski racks mounted on the exterior and a proper place for her flat iron, this girl is the whole package when it comes to off-road glamping!

@hanzkaran1966
@hanzkaran1966 3 года назад
@@GirlGoneGlamping Don't worry there's nothing wrong with you talking fast, it's actually a compliment. It's a comparison to others talking and presenting their vehicles in a fast, incomprehensive manner or others talking so slow that I have to fast forward the video or close the video and go to another or some who are so boring that you feel pulling your hair but have to be patient to watch everything. Some would end their sentences with annoying giggles and some would start the sentence with high pitch and before the sentence ends the pitch dropped to the floor like the throat got sands in it. It is not good commenting even if it is true lest they will be offended. However, I am watching because I have to see what they've got and what they are proud of. I do not know your Dad personally but give my regards and thanks for doing some great works in your camper and that I enjoyed watching your video. The best to all, you and your family. Keep safe and happy "glamping"!

Thank you! This inspires. So many things I picked up on. Have you thought of locking your ladder? And sunroof? My friend’s rig was broken into via ladder snd roof access while he was away from the rig. He added both locks. He also added a lock in his spare tire. It was also stolen. I hope this helps you or others. Re adjust speed slower by going to the right hand top corner then click the four vertical dots. Click speed playback. Adjust. Choices of slower or faster.

Interesting comment on speed. So much of the time on Utube I switch to 1.25 time speed because people talk so slow. You were about right and nicely informative. I'd love to know where you go in the US and whether you will get to Canada. I'm in Australia. I think you could still do a lot of work from here but we are 8 to 10 hours ahead of GMT. Most of the outback would be out of mobile range. You could use sat phone/internet. You would love our country to. Cheers.

@@BFaluup Let me add to your words of wisdom. Get were you want to be by 55, because your drive really takes a nose dive. Especially if you're a woman 👩. If you're not happy in a relationship your drive takes a nose dive. Men keep a drive better but you want to look forward to having some fun. That doesn't mean you still can't stay in a house. But definitely cut down on stuff so when it comes to down sizing it will be easier.

Life is what you make it. I worked long hours and was very dedicated to my job for 30 years, but I had a goal to retire comfortably at 50. I retired 2 years ago and I can't even describe how awesome life is now. Yes, the work and time spent was an effort, but to be able to live life without financial concerns is amazing. I've always had a tremendous amount of drive and still do, but instead of directing it toward work, I direct it toward living my best life. For me, the sacrifice all those years was well worth it.

Got me thinking about my mother. In early 1950s, my mother drove herself over dirt roads, camped alone, in northern Nigeria based out of Katsina. She was pioneering infant nutrition and health education programmes. Standard issue vehicle was a kit car - similar to what we now call a pick-up truck but bigger - called a kit car because you threw your kit in the back, not a self-assembly kit. She drove from village to village with a plan to speak first with the chief's harem. She was addressing the prevailing attitude that children should only get a mealy-meal porridge with no protein at all - hence kwashiorkor even in times of abundance. She did her own repairs while out on tour but wasn't strong or heavy enough to deal with punctures so had to wait for the next lorry to come by, flag it down, and ask for help. Met my dad out there, married in 1953, I arrived as first of 4 in 1955. Brother and sisters all born out there. They returned to England in 1961 because all my grandparents getting on in years and Dad would have to find work before too old for anybody to take him on. They'd have liked to stay out there. Just googled "Old kit cars and pick-up trucks" and got this: 1942-1959 Napco Chevy and GMC Trucks - not exactly the same but very similar and same era. A bit more like this: 1953-1956 F-100 - which might be a later version of what she was driving. Thanks for triggering the memories

Thank you for sharing your home with us. I finally made the move to living the life of a nomad trading a Jeep SUV for a GMC Savana cargo van. A friend helped me covert it into a full time camper. After eight months I find myself hooked and absolutely love it. I've received only one ticket but it was my fault for not reading a nearby sign. However, paying a ticket is cheaper than paying rent or mortgage. I lived on the beaches and could change my view or backyard just by the turn of a key. Eating meals, enjoying a morning cup of coffee or just lazing in the sun is pleasurable with the sounds of waves, birds, seals and the wind. I was enroute to Taos when news of a fire near there, Angel Fire I believe, changed my plans...so Flagstaff is my new destination. I will stay there to acclimatize and hopefully enjoy a ski season. @@amywalker7515 Statistically small towns have a higher crime rate mostly to people thinking they don't have crime there. Too many people have had people walk right in and do harm or kidnap someone. My brother has that attitude and someone who lived where he does (a neighbor kid) walked in and killed one of their cats, because the door was opened. He just felt like it. I live in a very small "town" about 15 minutes drive from a large city. The crime rate here is VERY low, we all know our neighbors and who comes into our area, we have a very large police force who respond SO FAST it makes all those other large police force look like rookies.
