Solo Halls of Lightning Grants INSANE Experience | Cataclysm Classic 

This is for people who want to beat the curve at release going into Deepholm and people leveling alts, but if you don't have an 80-85 plan, then for sure just level in Hyjal to 82 and be okay with it taking a bit longer.

@@Riyaniwow I'm doing vashjir until seahorse mount and then hearthing to hyjal to quest there until I open up firelands portal phase. There are reasons to quest in every zone.

Nah use it. People did it at the start of wotlk and farmed tbc dung. the world is full of buggy quests not to mention crowds. Just let everyone have their flavor.

0 reason to do this, no rep. so then you get to come back and quest with the slow players or spam 5mans longer than needed.

The 80-85 heirlooms (head and cloak) are not actively giving you experience after lvl 80 until the release of the first raid tier, so will only be a thing for alts.

I'm not that big on gold making-- I'm more of a spender! :D But the ranged DPS tier list just came out, if you haven't watched it already :)

I'm using a WeakAura called "Luxthos - Experience Group." It's pretty neat because it displays your unrealized experience gain from your questlog.

Yeah I remember watching that; new Kripp videos back in the days were hype. But yeah, there's a possibility. They didn't fix TBC values ahead of WOTLK, and frankly, I don't think they care about the race to 85 enough on the Classic version to do anything about it.

I tried solo mage leveling Halls of stone on a private server and it gives like 1000xp/mob... i still have to try on beta

@@erioyo halls of stone gives about 4.8k xp pr mob i killed

5 lockouts per hour on beta server , you could go HoL and do big pulls with 5 min rest that spikes to 4m+ per hour

Haven't tried old kingdom, but yeah heroic version gives a decent bit extra experience. The 10x lockouts I think were only supposed to last during Hallow's End and what not, so wouldn't be surprised if it's not a thing when pre-patch comes around.

We don't know-- it wasn't in previous expansions, and just because it was in the original release doesn't mean anything for the classic release. It works on the beta, so we'll just have to wait and see.

This also worked in the beta last year and they changed it . I doubt it will work tbh

Hmm, I feel like you need to be able to loop around to make it worth it unless you can find a way to reset which doesn't include you running all the way back to reset. Not sure what build you're running, but taking things like impending victory, blood craze, and field dressing should probably help. If you're running heirloom trinkets swap over to something else for the boss.

@@Riyaniwow im running dressing and blood craze yeh. he just does more melee damage than i can heal. i solo'd first boss with adds with ease but yeh this guy cooked me

@@chryomadzz4360 Try lesser resistance flask as quite a bit of his dmg comes in as magic. Pulls in the adds in front of the boss, so you get your victory rush charges, theyll die from rend -> tc -> sw anyways. Also consider victory rush glyph. In the 50% intermission, go for the balcony on the left, kill the adds for another victory rush. Have your combat log open, as soon as you get elemental damage, use sindra fang, if you have it. Use Last Stand together with enraged regen when you get low, to get a huge amount of health back. That being said, the boss is kind of a dick and youll have the whole toolkit, including debuffs on the boss, to make it doable

@@Riyaniwow cool i think i should prob use the heirloom trinkets then. I did tweak my spec just for HoL. Specifically the CD reduction in word of glory

and for some reason you didnt want to take into account that on release date every mob / item is gna be contested and ur 2M/h is gna get significantly reduced

@@afernandez1995 yeah like everyone said it would be in wotlk release too but the game was phased so hard, that I bearly didnt even see any other player questing. Also the 2M XP was calculated including breaks because of bugged quests and trying to find a path to optimize the gain. Also if you do the dungeon farming, you will still have to do all the questing at lvl 85 for the rep. So in the end I will be fully herioc geared while you will be questing to get rep.

@@TheShilence yeah and plenty of people who had those leveling routes got the bad phase/layer and slowed them down. It’s still rng plus almost everyone is going hyjal . In wrath you had two different starting zones .

@@ItsYent rnd true. But I got bad luck in wotlk but still got top 10 on my server. And all of the players in front of me where quester.

Might be rough for rogues, but maybe! Any tank class, hunter, demo lock, not sure about the rest. Mage I imagine could do it just fine, especially since there are a lot of circular paths- bosses could be a problem though.

After the launch, sure. I also under counted the exp in the video as it assumes no rested, no guild, and no heirlooms. I got 7.5 mil per hour coming back here on my alts.

Yep, was in there practicing on my prot pally during prepatch. Ended up doing Shattered Halls 70-77.

ya but shat halls and botanica were great and were left untouched for those who wanted that option. Keep this in imo. The world is crowded enough. Might as well have another option.

Ye I remember doing shat halls for 7 levels was hell. But it’s funny I’ve boosted chars on hos on my paladin i guess i could do hol for 2 levels. If i can get it done quickly.

Kara was a raid so that made sense why it got nerfed .

Bullshit, more like they will be massively ahead. A) You dont need all the reps at once, questing in Hyjal does pretty much nothing for you except access to the tabard. Doing 80-82 will grant you access to all the others so you have plenty of tabards to choose from. B) They will beat 90% of the Hyjal questers to Deepholm with 2+ hours, they will have a much less contested Deepholm and Uldum and will probably beat the average Joe by 4-5 hours to 85. More then enough time to return to Hyjal when there is less people and quest to friendly for the tabard. The added gold as a small bonus.

80-82 won’t have quest upgrades for most people.

There is if you want to avoid the bottle necks on the first couple days. The quests aren't going anywhere and probably give more gold at 85 anyway.
