And this city is as dangerous as any other city in Ecuador, we are just a bigger city (biggest in Ecuador). @@jessicabarreto9444 I live in Guayaquil. There is definitely a difference between being here for a few days and visiting the wealthier neighborhoods during the day time and living day to day in the less safe neighborhoods and having to be out in the evening.
Que mal se siente que en mi país cataloguen ciudades como las más peligrosas. Guayaquil es una ciudad hermosa pero por los gobiernos y autoridades que no hacen nada para combatir la delincuencia, prácticamente es imposible ir a hacer turismo allá sin que te pase algo malo. Ojalá la situación cambie y mi Ecuador vuelva a ser un destino turístico seguro para los que nos quieren visitar.
El pueblo que sale a defender a los delincuentes deben ser apresados también, para que expliquen su relación ó beneficio que les dan los delincuentes a quienes defienden.
Que te esperas de un pais donde dos o tres personas tienen la oportunidad de estudiar mientras los politicos les roban sus sueños y les culpan a ellos por no salir adelante

Quito is way bigger but considering Guayaquil has a harbour, people from all over Ecuador live there hence makes it more dangerous. However, I agree, every city has its own dangerousness and precautions need to be taken into account.

los guayaquileños por defecto decimos más precio del que realmente es, porque los guayaquileños somos MUY regateadores, nos encanta el descuento y queremos cosas de 8 dólares en 5, redondeando todo a múltiplos de 5 jajajajaja lo digo porque he estado desde el punto de vista de vendedores y de compradores.
The reason why most things are high priced is because the minimum wage is higher than other Latin countries also because of the dollar, it’s also one of the reasons why there’s a lot of Venezuelans, Colombians and Peruvians in Ecuador. That’s why the lady selling shoes said it’s cheap. Also apparently the metro in Quito won’t be inaugurated until the end of this year.

Buen video, la verdad que si, Guayaquil es muy peligroso, en la zona céntrica a la que fuiste no hay mucho peligro, esto se percibe mas en las periferias, barrios como Bastion, socio vivienda, Guasmo, y en los cantones aledaños como Duran... Pues da pena que la ciudad este como esta, yo soy del guasmo sur y la inseguridad es muy alta, gracias por mostrar la realidad ante el mundo, esto no debería darnos vergüenza, es bueno mostrarlo porque las autoridades locales son las peores en décadas.

Great video, thank you. So glad that I stumbled across your video, as my wife and I have been considering visiting Ecuador soon, but have been concerned about all the crime complaints. Even though we just visited Memphis, TN last week and it seems much more dangerous than even Guayaquil, goes to show having your feet on the ground is very important versus what you hear.
Whether Memphis or Guayaquil, you always have to keep your wits about you. And just like in Memphis, be careful what neighborhoods you’re walking into. Guasmo, El Suburbio, Bastión, and Monte Sinai are some of the worst neighborhoods, in contrast Samborondón is probably the safest zone in Guayaquil now. Good luck!
@@TheCdr19 I agree, I grew up in Azusa, CA and while not the most dangerous, there were many incidents that woke me up to crime and the importance of being aware. My wife I worry about, as she always likes to not think of the "what could happens" of the world and prefers to see everything positive.
@@Zzues Don't let these videos fool you. I live in Guayaquil. Big difference between walking around for a few hours in the daytime and living here day to day. It is a very dangerous city, but there are some safer neighborhoods. You have to know what taxis are safe to take, which buses are less likely to be robbed, which neighborhoods to not go to, which streets are safer to walk on and which ones to avoid, and how late to stay out. As a foreigner, you are a target and they can tell pretty easily that you are not an Equatoriano. Life is hard for the people who live in the working-class neighborhoods. Crime is worse there than in Urdesa or Samborondon.

Im from Machala and as Guayaquil has become very dangerous, so we are grateful for the curfew in place. The criminals are bolder and more savage lately, so we need the help from army and police to combat these recent increase in crime. Please stay out of Guayaquil if you can. Be safe 🙏

Guayaquil es una ciudad bellísima, desde el cerro Santa Ana se puede observar uno de los escenarios más hermosos de todo Sudamérica. Los riesgos sociales no justifican que a la Ciudad se la califique de peligrosa. AMO GUAYAQUIL, ABRAZOS DESDE LOJA
Pero si hay sectores céntricos muy feos...los alrededores del parque centenario son malolientes y de mal aspecto...no me gusta ir a la Corte Provincial por ese motivo
no sé si sigas aquí en Guayaquil, pero hay muchos más lugares muy bonitos donde puedes visitar, el centro normalmente es zona de mucho comercio. En cuanto a los precios pues, es cuestión de encontrar donde vendan más económico jeje. Si sigues por acá, asegúrate de probar el encebollado, uno de muchísimos platos típicos en el país, espero encuentres el lugar perfecto donde vendan y te enamores de nuestra gastronomía, así como los atractivos, lugares, etc... Guayaquil más allá de la inseguridad es una ciudad muy bella y diversa en varios aspectos. Cuídate muchoo, un abrazote❤
Excelente video!! Enseña la realidad de Guayaquil, pero el salario mínimo de Guayaquil es de $450 y el toque de queda es a la 1am. En el centro las cosas cierran más temprano porque es peligroso no por el toque de queda!
visit the samanes park, it is not very touristy but it is an area where you can relax, in front of the park there is a small forest, there you can go hiking or cycling ⛰️🌳

There's a little bit of misinformation here: the curfew in Guayaquil starts at 01:00 am to 05:00 am... Not 20:00 pm as you said 😅 and the streets might be dead at that time it's just because people here are not night owls sadly
The guy serving the fritada told me that it starts at 8PM. I later learned it starts at 1PM. Sadly most people stay at home, due to being scared of being out and about at night...
@@PilgartExplores the fritada's guy is from another province, maybe he just told you that for your own sake and not taking risk going out past 8pm, or simple he is not really awarded about the correct curfew schedule ... But it starts at 01:00 am and ends at 05:00 am... It will last until May 31th
@@PilgartExplores Exactly, during the night, the downtown or center is close after 8pm but not because the curfew but because not to many people walking by. Lately the Boulevard 9 de Octubre stay open, some restaurants, until 10pm. Enjoy my city mate.

Guayaquil como toda ciudad grande más de 3 millones de habitantes, existe inseguridad como lo hay en Buenos Aires, México, Sao Paulo y otras, los que dicen eso de Guayaquil son malos ecuatorianos, envidiosos con la principal ciudad del Ecuador la más pujante y comercial, si no conoces Guayaquil no conoces el Ecuador.

Debes venir a QUITO es maravilloso, y hay muchos sitios turisticos, la Mitad del Mundo, no son caras las cosas en Ecuador pero si hay gente que siempre teata de aprovecharse de los turistas debes tener cuidado. Avisanos cuando visites QUITO.👍

I've been from the United States to Guayaquil back and forth for almost a year now (I own some property there). There's no more danger in Guayaquil that there is in pretty much any city the United States or any other city in the world. Some people like to sensationalize or exaggerate things for content..."Look at me, I'm hanging around this soooo dangerous neighborhood!" I've been in all those places and even worse. I'm from both Chicago and Cleveland, you can't tell me jacksh*t about danger.

You should check out the coastal city's! I'm a Canadian who lives in a special little village called San Clemente its in between Puerto Vieja and Bahia. I've been here for going on 9 years and I couldn't think of better place. We are a little different when it comes to the cerfew like the big cities, no one really follows it (mostly) we look after each other. So if your in Ecuador I suggest trying out some of the smaller communities, especially during Mardi Gra or as we say here Carnival! Great Channel!
