Still new to Ecuador, this was my first real authentic cultural experience in South America. Of course very much catered to tourists today, this market has been held regularly by the people of Otavalo since before the Incas invaded. Being surrounded by people speaking Quechua selling handmade items unique to their culture was like something out of a dream. The crowds picked up by midday, as well as the smells of street food around. Watch as I wander aimlessly through South America's largest indigenous street market trying new things and having first time experiences along the way! 🇪🇨
